People keep saying he didnt know about Apples 30% - of course he did. Google do the same. They ALL do.
Given that he originally said $8 through the app and then raised it by ~30% for the app after his apple talk and kept it at $8 for the web shows he didn't account for it as he would expect most of the purchases to come in through the web therefore he has based his budgeting on $8 a user. This really only leaves two optionsPeople keep saying he didnt know about Apples 30% - of course he did. Google do the same. They ALL do.

1. He knew about it and arrogantly thought it wouldn't apply to him
2. He didn't know because no one told him. From all accounts Elon is the type of boss to fire people for very little provocation. Can you imagine Elon talking though the $8 dollar business plan and being the one to say Elon you know there's a 30% cut here..
I'd probably put it 80/20 on the two possibilities. Either option shows he not the business genius he's believed to be. Unless anyone has any other theories that would explain this odd about turn on the pricing
You've no idea then, excellent. Many, many, many
Not sure what the point is about old tweets? How about the tweets from democrat senators saying they would never trust a vaccine developed under a trump government? Or the countless tweets from democratic senators telling folks to get out and mingle, ignoring advice not to? Picking tweets from the early days of COVID as some sort of 'gotcha' is a mugs game as there's plenty of evidence lots of people were saying stupid statements.Edit.
OK I found an issue/quirk with the forum.
If you edit an existing post, then quote a post, it doesn't add it to the edit box but a new one.
Hence the 3 posts
Edit edit.
To at least give them some value, here's a nice reminder of another joke Elon was clearly only joking about and not to be taken seriously. Clearly just a joke.

Lots of smart people say stupid things, pretty sure Bill Gates said the internet was a ****** idea with no benefit in the early daysWe know a lot of politicians are stupid though whichever ideological side they fall on - Musk is meant to be a genius.

yes? You're pretty sure about that, eh?
'cause I'm pretty sure he was actually a cheerleader for what the internet would do in the early days of the World Wide Web and it was chat show hosts who were laughing at his belief in it...
"Today's Internet is not the information highway I imagine, although you can think of it as the beginning of the highway," Gates wrote.
She doesn't think he's joking and the Republicans will be doing everything they can to drag him over the coals in the next Congress. This is just fuel for their fire.
You should know that saying the pros of lockdowns dont/didn't outweigh the cons means you are an anti vaxer/covid denier by now. This is part of the problem with covid debates/discussions, hyperbole and accusations are king rather than calm, rational debate. He's pro-vaccine though, his issue seems to be that he was opposed to hard lockdowns.

I believe most folks on the right in the US want him prosecuted for telling porkies under oath to congress. What? How is suggesting prosecuting the head of the NIAID/chief medical officer for the president, for simply doing his job and trying to keep people safe, "rational debate"?
At least thats possible on new twitter, old twitter would have just shadowbanned youMaybe if he simply just wanted to debate why he didn't like lockdowns he should have a sensible discussion with data to back it up.
memes are real dammitInstead, he's just spreading memes and conspiracy nonsense.

Knew you'd say that. Not sure what the point is about old tweets
Typical tatos getting the context of something wrong, wanna quote the rest of the post about covid tweets? How's he voted in the past btw, democrat or republican?Knew you'd say that.
"Elon is not a republican and here is an old tweet to prove it, please ignore all the new tweets that show him as a republican, look at all these old tweets"
2 weeks later....
"why are you bringing up old tweets"
