TBH I'm not sure he really wants to buy it - just put them under a lot of pressure to change certain aspects, some of which people have been asking for and they've not been very receptive towards.

One of which is increased transparency so they can't hide algorithmic censorship which is a pretty basic thing to ask for!

Quite, the main stream media response is pretty one sided, but random conspiracy theorists on twitter or forums isn't much of a metric of the public opinion. Most of whom don't care one way or the other.

No it isn't. The right wing media are desperate for this to happen just so Trump can have his account reinstated. There is a part of me that thinks Twitter should reinstate it as Trump is his own worst enemy and before long he'll incite more violence. I don't blame Twitter for wanting no part of his lunacy though.

yes for all musks libertarian aspirations - won't he be unioinzed soon, like Bezos, to fix those employment infractions, and, taxed via Bidens produce it in America (or else) laws, the Chinese (eco friendly) free ride will soon be over.

twitter has now introduced a poison pill to make it hard to buy
The ingredients of each poison pill vary, but they are all designed to give corporate boards an option to flood the market with so much newly created stock that a takeover becomes prohibitively expensive.

So Musk would be totally OK with his employees organising a union through twitter if he owned it?

It says everything about Musk's love of freedom and personal choice and that he would fight tooth and nail against unionisation at any of his businesses.

I love what Spacex is doing but too many people idolise Musk, he is great at thinking outside the box but running a social media platform, no thanks.

Aspects such as? Because the biggest amount of noise seems to come from republicans on this yet every independent report on the matter indicates that they are the biggest winners of the algorithms currently in place..

Do you consider Biden a lunatic?

Also, what's your reasoning for calling Trump a lunatic, just curious?

That pretty much agrees with me then, the right wing media are gleeful while the left are melting down.
are the "left" melting down?

I think all that's been said is that Musk may find it hard due to his legal issues around his previous use of Twitter and the fact the main shareholders of Twitter don't want him in charge, or saying he'll probably be a disaster for it.

That's not exactly having a "melt down".

I've seen far more like you stating the "left is having a melt down" than any one the "left" having a "melt down".
