You'd think they'd realise the guy trying to monetise brain microchipping might not be the best wagon to hitch a ride to.

Depends if your so lacking in that area that you need the chip to function.
I think we have a few candidates posting in here that would be perfect for Elon

There's no chip in anyone's brain with Neuralink, did you consider doing some research on this? It's extremely thin probes in the surface of the brain. This kind of technology could be revolutionary for disabled people in the future though.

They're developing implants, so arguably they are 'microchips' and Musk has mentioned in the past about putting silicon into the body. On ClubHouse a few years back, he said -

"In the short-term stuff for Neuralink the idea would really just be to address brain injuries or spinal injuries and make up for whatever lost capacity somebody has with with a chip. Implanted chip."

"The first thing that we're going after is a wireless implanted chip that would enable someone who is a quadriplegic.. or tetraplegic or quadriplegic to control a computer, or mouse, or their phone, or really any device just use just by thinking. And this obviously would be a massive enabler, make life way easier for them."

And he's also mentioned of implanted devices that connect to smartphones - https://edition.cnn.com/2019/07/17/tech/elon-musk-neuralink-brain-implant/index.html

And then there was also the pigs experiment where they've used brain implants - https://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/28/tech/elon-musk-neuralink/index.html

It's impressive either way but it's not just "...extremely thin probes in the surface of the brain" but rather silicon/devices getting implanted.

I stand corrected then, I'd looked into it but obviously not far enough. Very cool tech regardless.

yes - must be a dilemma choosing between community notes and Musk's gems of wisdom
so creators push click bait Daily Mail material onto twitter, for the revenue it generates - twitters algorithms then conveniently prioritize those referral tweets, everyones a winner
wouldn't you read the daily mail directly if that's your penchant, seems more efficient.

This just popped up on my feed, not finished watching it yet but a great quote already "Musk then tried to back out of the deal for reasons related to him being a huge idiot"

He's poked fun at himself for paying $44bn for Twitter on multiple interviews, he's still trying to make it a success. He isn't at all mad

If he's not angry at failing to back out of a clearly **** deal he accepted then he will be when he realises he can't monetise it enough to avoid being another slave to ad revenue. His only other option is to effectively caretake for a despotic regime that bankrolls the platform to use it as a means to destabilise the west... wait a minute.

Pretty based of you strider, you won't get many here agreeing with those spicey takes about Biden!

You can watch his answer to that question and if you genuinely believe he's going to sell out for advertisers or investors then you're not very good at reading people, linked at the correct time

Not really interesting :p threads is a bare wasteland devoid of features, so no incentive to stay on it, even with the user base of instagram imported. they should have made sure it was feature rich before rolling out.
