Nice wallpapers spoiled by horrible overlays. This is OS X, not Windows, you don't need to have all that stuff on the screen all the time *shudder* :)

Maybe its my Unix obsession. I can't run a linux distribution without having a terminal window open at all times.. even if i'm not using it. The Time and date are a bit useless yeah, but i like to see the status of my computer regardless of the OS - Linux, Windows, OS X :p

Also has something to do with me having a serious issue with having my OS X desktop looking exactly like the other 99% of the Snow leopard population bar the wallpaper change. I'm silly like that.

I used to do that on my PC, it was alwas just a black screen but it seems wrong now. I tried it when I first got my Mac but I didn't like it.
 
Cheers dude, looks gorgeous on my iMac.... and I am pretty picky about my wallpapers! Shame about the slight banding, but hey you can't have everything!
 
how does one customize the dock bar? apart from the dock option in system settings.

I basically want to change the silver bar all the icons sit on
