** THE PHANTEKS ATX CASE YOU HAVE ALL REALLY BEEN WAITING FOR - TIME TO EVOLV **

Just seen this review for the case with lots of useful info about rad sizes and clearances.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfLJfP0XyaE

Also shows just how snug it might be in there with some actual gear in!

Deffo going to have to change from one fat rad + one thin rad to two thin rads.

Might even put the 280 up top and the 360 up front, simply because the EK PE range are only 38mm thick, but the to be released CE range for 140mm fans are 45mm thick. Might need every bit of space I can!

Useful review, but the build is umm rather untidy, looks like it's been thrown together.

What I was trying to find out was the depth / clearance behind the motherboard tray and the door, but it changes with different reviews.

They do say in the comments that it was just a lash together more for guidance with rad sizes than anything else.

For example I was looking at a 60mm thick rad up top, but it just won't give me room for accessing fittings on the CPU cooler. I could move it to the front, but then I'd be more limited on pump locations.

What is it you want to hide behind between the tray and the side panel?

Don't think there is much gain with thick rads, I went from an 80mm to a 45 with no difference in temp, plus you need to run the fans faster on thick rads, I was going to use 30mm, but have the 45's.

Back of the motherboard is where I want to put tubing rather than the spagetti look in front :) using a Lian Li PC-D600 at the moment, just going for the Phanteks for a change.

So from the video and the specs on their site, can I fit a 240 and a 360 in this in the front and top respectively at the same time provided they're thin (35mm-ish?)

You will be able to fit most thickness, but a thick rad in the top will hang over the Motherboard, I'm just going with 45mm rads, providing I like the case :) you can use a 420 rad in the top which might give a little gain providing you don't have high profile memory.

Problem with some reviews is they are not very accurate like...

8 Pci slots ... no it has 7
2mm thick alloy panels ... no 3mm
alloy chassis... no it is tin / steel chassis
Etc....

Just pre-ordered the black edition......to start my new PC Build/project (black and white water-cooled)....I assume that will be delivered when the stock comes in at the end of the month? Or have all the pre-orders been sold?

Don't worry, there is still enough stock to satisfy preorders... quite a few sold though!

They are charged at time of purchase. If you want to wait till before they land, I don't mind letting you know when the initial quantity is close to selling out, I'm hoping I can secure a few extra for when the initial stock lands, but no guarantees yet so stock will probably be short.

Yes please, that's be great as I get paid on the 25th.
