****The Playstation 3 Slim Thread****

Been playing Fallout 3 lately too and can't say I've got any complaints, few bugs here and there but from what I gather that's common to all versions.
I found it got worse the further into the game I got, by the end I was getting regular lock-ups, which no other game has ever done on my system.
The game itself is fantastic though, it's just a shame they couldn't be bothered to test it remotely adequately.
It was my first platinum trophy, put it that way.

Pretty good deals on Ultimate Blu-Ray kits for the PS3. Not sure about the movies but the remote is worth the paying price.

Had a long think , i am thinking no to the slim version , the original version is so much better , its shiny and i love the silver effect , the slim is just plain & boring to look at . . .

Even if my big fat ps3 broke i will still replace with the old version . . .

Half the people in this thread said that, and most of them have already changed their mind and ordered new slims :) Fickle gamers :D

we will see how long it takes for you to buy a slim :)

Had a look in one of the local supermarkets and they have 80GBPS3 for sale for £220 with Ghostbusters and LBP seemed quite a good deal if anyone still wants a fatty

The older PS3 is without doubt better looking than the new slim but it's a sensible upgrade in my opinion - especially being quieter and pumping out less heat.

Trust me i will not , i am going to put the money to better use ie buying a 32W5500 , whats the point replacing something thats not broken , its only a money spinner for Sony which is not very good one , they could have done better with the slim version , ie make it about more funky

The way i look at it , its not about the hardware , its about the software

Even though you just said you didn't like the ashetics of the slim.

Surely the looks don't matter if you only care about software? ;)

In order of importance for me:

Warranty
Quieter with (far) less power usage
Dual Shock over Sixaxis

Only works out £50 for the above...
