Seems to be the case with the new settings version. You will also notice that the clock slider only goes in 5% increments now rather than 0.5%
You can however revert to the old drivers to get the original WattMan then update the drivers but exclude the settings component. Then you can still clock GPU and RAM in the same way.
Greeting all... I have had my R290p unlock to R290x since late 2013. I fancy an upgrade do you guy think it's wise to upgrade to RX480 or wait for the RX490? And what is the performance difference in crossfire?
Cheers.
Did anyone tried connecting it to 4K tv.? Every time I set it to 60Hz PC just reboots as if the reset button was pressed.
I know I should use hdmi 2.0 cable which I don't have but I thought it won't hurt to try.
In worst case it shouldn't let me choose 60hz or display anything but definitely not just reboot.
Thats odd, Imgur won't display for some reason.

edit: Tinypic works though:
that sometimes happened on my old 290x
didnt matter what drivers were used. Wasnt a big deal quick reboot and sorted.
Buy it. It will offer a small upgrade over the 290, use less power and have some new features. Besides it's always nice to get something new.
And, it won't cost you that much if you sell the 290.
Further down the line you can sell it on and upgrade to something else.
Everything was pretty much as expected... except witcher 3 holy hell. Was his reference 480 a 4gb card? that's a very very nice jump.
I noticed in the original 480 review on Guru3D that Polaris does much better with Gameworks effects as well. It's up there with the Fury X in Fallout 4 until you push passed 1440p
Primitive discard accelerator, helps when certain games use excessive levels of tessellation by discarding triangles that do not influence the rendered scene.
