I'd like to see it up against the Sapphire Nitro +OC instead of the Red Devil. The Red Devil is not the best of the 480's by any margin...it's pretty poor card IMHO. Oh yeah...No Doom with Vulcan...again. LOL

Aww man, I'm only at 1.1v core (default 1.15), I tried 1.05v and 1.075v and Firestrike crashed both times, I wish I could have gotten to 1.05v cos the temp were great. I will try again today, hopefully I can settle between 1.075-1.1

Actually the Devil is an awesome card, quieter & cooler than the nitro. Just not good for extreme overclocking.

Caved in and downloaded Forza Horizon 3 yesterday.

Thought I'd try 1080P at max settings and see if it chugged along. Installed the game, and then it defaulted to Ultra settings with a 30fps lock @ 4K.

Tested it for about 30 mins and the only slowdown I got was during cutscenes. Not sure it will cope with some of the busier parts of the game but I was astounded that the 480 could even manage this game at 4K Ultra settings, albeit at 30fps.

Anyone had any issues with their Nitro OC+ boots up @ 640x480?

Been running stock clocks but a custom fan profile. It's not been overheating or anything. Just cold booted it yesterday and had to uninstall using DDU and reinstall the drivers, then it defaulted to 1080P but would allow me to then change it to 4K.

Restarted it and the correct res, 4K, appears to be working again but it's a bit weird.

That may be, but Nvidia fans don't care for quieter or cooler....just who has the highest FPS.....unless the AMD card has the highest FPS then the noise, heat and power are suddenly called upon to sustain an arguement.

Anyone having the Random fan speed increase to 5000rpm for about 5 mins then cut back down again? Running a Powercolor RX 480 8GB Reference Blower card if that makes any difference!

My Nitro OC has occasionally gone to max speed during mkv playback in Kodi for some reason. Restart Kodi and it's fine for ages.

Buy this only if you dont plan to do any overclocking...

Mine was delivered 1st July and has had a few issues such as 100% load but that seems to be resolved as of 16.8.3 I have just updated to 16.10.1 and all still seems to be ok so far.

If anyone else with a 480 likes driving games, get Forza Horizon 3.

Mentioned this before but no-one commented on it. At 1080P with Ultra settings I'm getting between 45-60 FPS, stutters, mostly smooth gameplay with the odd bit of noticeable frame rate drop.

Running at 4K at fixed 30FPS and it not only looks a million times better it is also running silky smooth. If this is because it was designed from the ground up for fixed 30FPS for XBO then I'm not complaining.

Did not expect to be running this at 4K with a 480, never mind that it runs better than at 1080P!

I am back and its been a funny ole month, i wanted to post some numbers and results of my brothers rig
But its all put on hold since we had a faulty psu so waiting for that to get sorted.
