Still awaiting for that illustrious Sapphire deal on a Nitro 1342Mhz version , a certain site has reduced them slightly already.
Nope , but I already have DOOMDo you get a FREE copy of DOOM with them from that other site?
Nope , but I already have DOOM
But the White Asus cards do look tempting as well , it will match my White R5 case a lot , its been almost 3 weeks without a graphics card and the itch just to buy one gets greater every day
PS , actually it does come with DOOM , but looks like you have to go to AMD to redeem it
http://www.amd.com/en-us/markets/game/featured/doom#
Fair enoughYou can only redeem from AMD if the reseller gives you a code. AMD do not give out codes, resellers do and only certain resellers are given codes which OcUK is one off.
£228.18 was £239.99 until today. I have the rainforest primus as well though , should be obvious where it from now
But we are £194.99, so a lot cheaper, unless I am missing something?
tbh the sapphire cooler is not the best. the msi and xfx gtr are far better. Not that I can see for the Sapphire (Yeah I know , brand snob) Nitro + OC 1342Mhz version , if you are at £194.99 , please link me and ill buy it tomorrow (Pay-Day)
Sorry for the confusion .
Anyone have any feedback on the Asus dual coolers? Tempted to upgrade my blower 7950 because of the noise, but the few user reviews I can find state they're also pretty noisy at load, in which case I might as well just keep plodding on and wait til Squadron 42 is released before upgrading.
I will never buy XFX and i have never experience anything from MSI , ironically one of my fans on the 290X Vapor-X failed and is with Sapphire for repair. Been buying Sapphire since the 9700 Pro days.tbh the sapphire cooler is not the best. the msi and xfx gtr are far better.
why not, they are the best rx480? buying a worse one because it has a different name and is worse makes no sense. The MSI has a very solid cooler as well.I will never buy XFX and i have never experience anything from MSI , ironically one of my fans on the 290X Vapor-X failed and is with Sapphire for repair. From the reviews I read it is horribly loud. However, a quick fan slope thingy should sort it out. It starts of on a 0db mode which is good. Not so good afterwards.
I wouldn't say its loud at all to be honest.
Best based on what exactly ? Long story why I would never buy XFX again , bad taste with RMA. I'm tempted to give the Asus one a go if I don't get the Sapphire Nitro. Circa £30 difference , the Sapphire has higher boost , but can be sorted by a bit of oc'ing , also the lights can be modded on the Nitrowhy not, they are the best rx480? buying a worse one because it has a different name and is worse makes no sense.
