GT Racer, loving the tilt-shift effect one, I want to try more of those myself.
wez130, I like the crane, the sky gradient is really nice. Was it taken with filters?

Here's one I like, shame the eye contact is a little off.

It's not a crane lol, it's the world famous Transporter bridge in Middlesbrough, and yes i used a graduated grey filter by cokin.

Even though you picture is, in your estimation, not good enough for its own thread, it's still a much better shot that the one in Wikipedia representing the structure. ;)

lol, do you think i should pitch my pic to them and see if they'll buy it :D

here's another pic i've just done, hope you like.....

wez - fantastic shot mate, you should be proud :) I really really like that.

I'm gonna process 300odd from a shoot the other week, might chuck one or two in here as I go along :)

cheers, had a spare 5 minutes and some inspiration on my split shift this afternoon, turned out quite good i think :D

Ah why not, some taken from my window from ages ago;

I'm in two minds about that one, part of me says that is a brilliant and beautiful picture, the other half wishes there was some foreground in it. But I know if there is any foreground in it would spoil the shot.:p

I am erring on a truly beautiful shot though.:)

Thought I'd join in the spirit of the thread having never taken anything I felt worthy of it's own thread, here is one from a recent holiday in Cuba.

It doesnt really need much doing to.

Had a play, may not be to some people's tastes.

Straightened it, Boosted saturation a lil bit, Boosted Contrast a lil bit, Boosted some colours and also lowered the temperature a bit to bring out the blues.

yeah, when i did try processing it I straightened it and made the first rock on the left properly black. There is some fringing around the rocks though. Is that a lens or camera problem? Any easy way to get rid?
