Lovely colours there, perhaps just a slight increase in the DoF would have got its antennas in focus too

Thanks Derek, unfortunately i don't have the luxury of more DOF due to the manual tubes i use. I just get f/00 on my display (I know there is a way around this with the DOF preview button trick but i'm not too sure how to go about this.. if anyone can enlighten me about it that would be great). This shot was taken handheld with a 100-400L lens + manual extension tubes while waiting for my burgers to cook on the BBQ :D

So got my GF1 today with the twin lense kit and went a wandering about to test the 20mm pancake lense. what a superb bit of kit it is imho.

I took a ride around Stourport the other day and took quite a few nice photos, here are a few I think work pretty well with a HDR take on things.

nice shot stu

how did u create that? what sort of lens? i.e. how wide? (1st pic)

Cheers mate, I used the standard 18-55mm Canon kit lens with my 400D wide open at 18mm, F8, ISO100 at 1/60sec. (I was determined to shot that the standard Canon kit lens can produce some good shots.)

I then put the RAW file into Paintshop Pro XI, resized it, balanced the colours, brightness, contrast and the sharpness and so on then just added quite a lot of clarity to give it the HDR look, I find this method works well.

Went to Moreton Corbet Castle nr Shrewsbury earlier today and had a look round it and the nearby Church. The Church tower was taken with my 70-300mm IS USM lens, whilst the other three were taken with a 10-22mm lens (hence it looks like the ruins are caving in!)

Nice images Andy :) Do you come south to Shropshire a lot?

Thanks for the comments. Erm no I must admit I haven't explored Shropshire a lot, other than Shopping trips to Shrewsbury on an infrequent basis, but having read up on the County it looks like one of those places that was blessed with beautiful Countryside and some amazing buildings. Some very odd little place names too :)

One for fun
