That boat in a field by Kenilworth castle by any chance??

It is indeed, it's not particularly exciting on it's own but thought a bit of slightly OTT processing might bring it out a bit.

I've been taking quite a few walks around the area recently now the weather is good.

Got lucky with this the other day coming back from Wales taking pictures of these guys:

Got back just in time for a nice sunset and a bonus of the moon rising at just the right time over the castle, although my shots are a bit blurry at 300mm as I didn't use a tripod.

I have a Warwickshire set if interested, nothing specific just anything taken in the area

Are you local or just know the area?

Not local but from Birmingham, and have done that walk quite a few times and then stopped off at the Castle for tea and cake.

I have many photos of that little boat, it's a cool little thing!

Like yours better though.

Thanks, the boat is in an odd location really but I keep forgetting to make a note of what the inscriptions on it say, sure its relevant. It's placed in an odd way that the cattle grid and tree/bushes beside it don't add to any shot of it I think so had to get a closer shot.

Some nice walks around here and a nice enough area to do them. Where do you stop off for tea, is there a tea room in the Castle grounds? I've not been inside yet (even with living here 10+ years) but plan to go now the flowers etc are out this Summer.

Thanks squeezo, it was the best of the lot, happy to have seen a Harrier but really need to sort my panning out for sharper shots, just saw your golf shot on flickr, nice take on it, you seem to have been moving away from birds recently but I'm enjoying the shots you post :)

Thanks Bruce & Nvidia :)

@ Bruce - i actually did photograph a few birds today and when i'd taken enough i thought i'd take some shots of the golf course behind me in the distance. On reviewing the images when i got home it seemed like a good idea to tiltshift the tiny little golfers. I think the reason i was constantly shooting birds was because i didn't want to remove my new 100-400L from my camera and bird shots were very accessible with that focal length, plus i just love shooting birds :D

Oh I know, I've been shooting macro constantly recently, guess it's just the eagerness to get out with new glass :) but sometimes it's good for you to swap lenses now and again or as you did turn around and see what's behind you.

And yes I guessed you liked your birds ;) :D
