A bit off topic, but what is the trick to getting the such clear in depth photos?

I have a Nikon D50 but never have been able to manage it, maybe i just need to learn to use my camera.

Should i be able to do it with this camera?

Hi!

Do you have any examples of what you'd consider to be shots that you feel aren't indepth?

It sounds like you're shooting RAW and weren't expecting them to come out neutral and fairly flat as they naturally are or perhaps your exposures are slightly off during shooting!
