Overcooked? Undercooked? My processing remains experimental rather than actually having a vision and knowing how to get there...

Lovely photo! However, you're aware you give up the rights to the photo when you upload it to Facebook, right? :p

Thanks, 16/2.8D. I haven't had it long and bought it new, so I'm betting Nikon will soon put out a much-improved AF-S N version.

well after that shot I think that lens has to be added to the wish-list, excellent shot ! and by looking at a few reviews great lens

Guy in the background looks a bit ghost like :p

Was bored, so I ventured out to the roof. Subject isn't brilliant but the sky is cool. Gives me some ideas for future shots

It's a little low on contrast and the chromatic aberration is pretty bad (though CS5's lens profile does a good job on it). The 10.5/2.8DX is optically better, but the 16/2.8D being FX gives better overall performance.

I was looking at the 10.5/2.8DX iirc after reading the review for that lens as I only have a dx sensor :( so Id need that at lease to get something similar

I've had the 10.5/2.8 and it's great, you're much more likely to find one second hand too. If I were on DX I wouldn't give it a second thought, get the 10.5/2.8 or look into the cheaper (and fully manual) Samyang that MartinTurner has been showing off :)

First time posting in here and my first attempt ad editing!
These were taken in South Africa, unfortunately the original looked a lot better on my camera screen than on my monitor which is massivly dissappointing! Hence me attempting to edit them /play about with the settings :(

C&C please

Saturation a bit too high here?

V nice Phate :)

Had a go at shooting a band during rehearsal, just a quick one I've PP'd. (I bloody hate the ironing board in the BG but there's only so much Photoshop can do lol =/)

Any tips for shooting bands are greatly appreciated :).

I think it works, BW is toned nicely too! Just maybe if it was showing more of the trunk in portrait in that BW :)
