Cheers Storm3y. I blended 3 autobracketed exposures using Photomatix Pro then opened the resulting image in photoshop and applied a filter plugin called 'Fractalius' :)

Few pics of the poop weather! More of snapshots with processing that photos though :)

What is this 40D you speak of??! :p

I've had 2 40Ds, awesome cams :D the high speed burst is great, you should get 7.4fps in RAW on a decent CF card.

Had a nice Saturday morning, went and did 2 things I love doing, driving and taking photos :)

A few to work through of various scenes over Staffordshire/Derbyshire.

Took this one in a random field that was nicely overlooking Calke Abbey, luyckily someone had taken the fence out with their car so access was nice and easy :)

Superb robin image Rojin, i find its a great time for birdy pics as the snow reduces the shadows. I managed to get out with the camera so heres a few from me

Damn, Squeezo, those bird shots are uber-sharp! What lens was that and were you using a tripod? 1/400s at 390mm and no blur.

Liking yours too Dharok.

Thanks mate. They were all taken hand-held using a 100-400L @ the 400mm mark. For some reason when i take shots at 400mm with this lens the exif reports it being at 390mm. After a quick google it seems others experience this too. Strange

Superb bird shots there Throttle. It's nice to see shots of the nuthatch and the dunnock which are two birds i've yet to see here in N.Ireland. I did see a blackcap today in the garden which was a first for me. Great time of the year for the lesser seen birds to venture into the garden looking for food :)

Here's a few from todays walk through the local forest and across the fields.
