these model railways getting more and more realistic!!!
jokes aside.. nice pic, my only thought would be to have used a filter maybe yellow to or circle polariser to bring out the sky and body of steam abit more. other than that its cool

Loving that shot Flare liking the build up of ppl towards the door :)

Thanks a lot :) If i can figure out how to, i might try and edit it so that it is straight although it does give it a very cool effect!
I got quite a few good photos of the Manchester protests, i really should have sent a few to newspapers and what not. A missed opportunity i feel :(

*edit* A couple more low quality jpegs which i would have sent in somewhere (no editing):

I'm a noob at this. Got a Nikon D7000 from uni and I have no idea what any of the settings do. I had to rush these shots as the sun going down fast. The first shot was done with a normal short lense and the second was done with a long lense.
Wait, uni gave you a D7000 even though you don't have a clue about photography? I want a D7000 :(

Picked up my first DSLR at the weekend (D7000 :D), and finally been out to the local nature reserve to take more than just family portraits. Nothing spectacular, certainly in comparison to many others in this thread, but we all have to start somewhere I suppose. I'd appreciate any comments and/or tips you guys may have.

first shot with my first L lens :D got a 70-200 f4 usm which arrived yesterday. didnt have much time to test last night but i was impressed with it. wish i could afford the IS version but it is definately a decent upgrade from my EFS 55-250 f4/5.6 IS.

Great pic, could say that lens is working perfectly! :)

Taken on the thames path in greenwich. I have just recently moved into the area and originally wanted to photograph the o2 arena in pano but was cut off when I reached one of the several dockyards. I saw this on my way and thought it was too good to pass up so I took a few snaps which was harder than it sounds because the thames clipper service is very frequent so it was hard to get a clean image.

Wandering around, sidestepping the drunks and periodically wiping the rain off my lesser-used clear filter. I've got the lethal combination of decent high ISO performance, and a f/1.4 wideangle for minimal handheld shutter speed requirements...might as well try to put them to use!
