My first image posts from my first DSLR. Still learning and I know these aren't brilliant but I'm quite pleased, this is a small selection from a bunch I took at the weekend.

richardirv the second one, next time you shoot a similar shot, get the for ground in focus and not the background/midground, it will improve that type of shot no end ;)

Yeah I did take one like that but It just didn't look as good to me, it was slightly recomposed and there were loads of midgys in the shot making it look like the sensor was dirty. ;)

Here're a few I took on a day out in York. Beautiful cathedral, and when you pay entry it gets you a year of free entry afterwards, so I'll definitely be back. Tower wasn't really worth it from a tog's point of view though. Would've loved to sneak out onto the walkovers though.

Brilliant photos. Your not allowed to use flash in such buildings are you?

Generally speaking, no. They're fine with tripods though. York Minister seemed quite well lit inside, but it'd be better on a bright day or you end up with some very high contrast.

Mine from NY 2008. Taken with my trusty old Fuji Finepix f610.
Its 3 separate images stitched together in Photoshop. This was my very 1st attempt at a panoramic.

Having a flick back through this thread I realised I posted an image way back on page 2 which at the time I was really proud of, looking back it's a bit rubish so I thought I'd add something more recent that I really do like!
