I wouldn't mind shooting in light rain, but this was just something else lol. In 30 minutes the roads and paths where all flooded in much of the city and it made getting to the wedding a nightmare. The wedding car for the bride was 40 minutes late to pick her up and then it broke down on the way to the reception, dragging out the wedding by well over 2 hours. Wedding started at 3, finished at 4 and they did the speeches in the reception at 9:30!

I like that first one^^ The 3rd doesn't do it for me composition wise! Venue staff just tend to get on with their jobs from what I've seen and are more than helpful when asked about stuff :)

Did you use Active D Lighting in the first one by the way?

One of my nephew playing games on a phone, the illumination on his face is from the screen on the phone, I was playing with my camera at the time, looked up and saw the shot, slapped the sucker into silent shutter mode and fired a couple of shots at ISO 2500.

Nice Rhys. The only bit of good weather we had yesterday... they chose to have the group shots done :( By the time they were sorted the weather had gone bad again, I got caught in a thunderstorm so was interesting to see how the weather sealing on both cameras held up! I managed to knock the eye cup off the 1Ds2 in the melee getting back to the hotel as well.

It almost didn't happen for me as well. After speeches there was a brake from the rain and a glimmer of sun. Bride spent what seemed like a very long time re-applying lip gloss etc. by the time she came out it was raining again. So we headed indoors for a few. I wasn't really feeling it though and was pretty disappointed that we missed the nice light. Then we all agreed what the hell we'l just go back outside and brave it. Luckily it had stopped raining, and then right at the end the sun came out. Also, the bride had to make the concious decision to risk trashing her dress, once she did that.. we could all relax. Then we just had a good time.

This wasn't too bad, we only had two brollies so I said "you have them I'll just get my stuff". No sooner had I picked up my bag the heavens really opened up, doh! All I could think of then was the two brollies still in my car boot! :D
