I was planning to go out and do a whole day of photography today, but as is the case when ever i want to go out the weather takes a turn for the worse.
it started to clear up at 11ish so i took a drive to the sea front intending to have a first go at some panoramic pictures.
never tired any thing like this befor, so had a quick read befor i headed out.
the wind was terrible and my insuficent tripod could'nt cope, so i switched to hand held after a few attempts.

i used microsoft ice to stich them together, there far from perfect i know.
i'd like to learn the blending layers technique in photo shop as you can get much better results. if any one knows a good link could you post it up please.

C+C always welcome

After HDR. I also added a graduated filter to darken the sky a bit more.

Messed with the contrast a bit to make the car stand out more but i think i went a bit OTT.

The original one looks much nicer - the HDR looks bland, with the entire sky blown.
The original has more punch, and a nicer vibrancy.

:)

I don't think it was the best shot to do HDR with in the first place, the main problem with the shot is too much contrast and the sky went black for some reason. But with the sky being so blown in the original probly not much you can get from it.

Is there any way to stop the sky going so white? I seem to get loads of shots turn out like this as it always seems to be overcast outside.

This monitor is rubbish for photography, it changes brightness depending how high up I'm sat in my seat. So i have no idea what the pic you guys can see looks like. I'll have to get some better shots without the white sky and set the camera to bracket i think.
