That actually looks brilliantly useful!

How much did the piping set you back? and where? Ebay?

I'm looking at some silly little perspex sheets in A4 to A3 with thought to having a slightly more serious go at a make shift studio, Also got my eyes on a single Granite tile for some interesting product shooting in the coming weeks.

TY, I work for PTS plumbing trade supplies, the pipe is basic overflow pipe, about 21.5mm OD, it cost about £20, i glued the corner sections and the feet sections but the rest pulls apart for storage, its very sturdy and will hold my back drops perfectly.

The granite tile sounds very interesting, i bet you can pick up all sorts of interesting bases from reclamation yards

Ahhh, I will have a butchers on ebay for something similar then,

I'm not touching reclamation yards! they charge too much for the piddly little stuff I have room for lol found something on ebay earlier for less than 2 quid including delivery, and it should be just the right size for small stuff :D

I'd almost always do clarity adjustments with a brush rather than a global slider, simply because you end up with hideously busy backgrounds like above if you don't do it with a brush or use a second low clarity brush to get rid of it, and if you're not careful it can ruin people's complexions - much safer to dodge and burn that stuff in post to get the lighting closer to how you wanted it.

Few shots from a stroll about on the beach :) Bird shot was taken with my 70-700mm F4L but the rest were with my 100mm F2.8L IS

1- Some Gulls trying to keep a footing on an outlet pipe just starting to get exposed by the outgoing tide

2- The expelled sand from a Lugworm digging. You can make out a reflection of me and the tripod I had put to one side :D

3- I let a small wave pass by the end of my lens when it was sat on the tripod about 20-30cm off the ground and got this. Nice that it left a little bit without bubbles so you can see the sand

4- Ok so the big shell wasn't there all on it's own :P Was tempted to crop out a bit more of the top but then I'd lose what little sky there is left. It seemed weird without any sky :/ and it adds a bit of blue

5- Found this little dude holding on for dear life.

Using an awful camera that can occasionally reward you with fine images if you persevere, the Sigma DP1.
