I think your both right and there is a little bit of lens distortion creeping in which makes it slightly odd, maybe time to bite the bullet and get Lightroom and a new pc with windows 7 on!

I totally get what you mean about a set, in the past when I've been out in the country side I've always been looking for the big sweeping landscape where as this year I've found myself focusing more on details like this post box. I think I have the makings of a decent collection I just need to process and upload them!

Thanks for the feedback

Clown: That pano of King's Cross is fantastic!

42zx: Great shots as always. Would you mind sharing the exposure details of the star shot/your night sky shots in general? I'd like to get some shots like that. Are you stacking multiple exposures for the foreground/background?

Thanks Borden, at the moment I'm using a 5D2 and 28mm 1.8. I have Custom Setting 3 on the 5D2 set to Manual Mode, 20s, f/2, ISO 1600, 2 second timer. I usually start there and then only change ISO and maybe aperture. I use the 600 rule to determine shutter speed to avoid star trails, so 600 / 28 = 21. Most of my shots are single exposures, if something is close in the foreground and I want more detail, or its really dark, I will adjust the focus, up the shutter speed to 30 sec and a higher aperture for more DoF then blend them later on.

This particular shot was on a very moonlit night, I didn't even need a torch, hence the foreground being so bright. I had to reduce the ISO to 800 as the shot were overexposed at 1600.

First time posting non food photos here. I've only had my D7000 a few weeks so am pretty new to this but I'm enjoying the learning the camera and Lightroom from scratch.

I've picked a few of my favourites from my first lot of photos. Any feedback would be lovely.
