Taken at the Lakes last week, just as a storm was about to break

Looks pretty cool, was it static, how did you do it? Tripod?

it was still and i just held the camera as still as i could and moved closer and closer at max mag, it was quite difficult as i needed the flash and the only one i have is the inbuilt one
also, i had to keep waiting for the flash so only got 3 or 4 in that stack before my hands gave way

This is another stack, isnt as sharp as i would have liked, nor is the lighting that good, but the stacking was better

Night shot with the 600D and 18-55mm.

Plaza at night by Nick and Sandrine, on Flickr

Three 30 second images (manual focus, ISO1600, f/22, at 44mm focal length), stacked using windsored sigma clipping to ensure random noise is removed, TGV noise removal, very slight sharpening with wavelets and then lightened with a histogram.

There's a couple of hot pixels under the bayer matrix so a couple of spots of colour but fun considering the skies had clouded. Think it could do with some saturation..

That place looks perfect!

Its a remote village in Bulgaria where my fiancé's parents own an old villa they are modernising. Thats the view from the balcony that spans the entire length of the building towards the west, whilst the views are equally as stunning in all other directions. The car journey there is perilous though due to the "road" being nothing more than a dirt path which has never been levelled, so you'd get no where near it unless you own a 4x4 lol. Lovely place though and a few degrees cooler than elsewhere due to being so high up in the countryside.

I've been to Bulgaria I few times but I've only ever stayed in the resort (Sunny Beach). If I ever got the chance visiting or even moving somewhere like that would be amazing!

Sunny beach is literally at the other side of the country from where that is. I'd highly recommend going to melnik if you go back which is a tiny sleepy historical town in the countryside. Proper authentic experience there!
