Portrait of a Pessimist.

More of my 365 and my favourite church down in the village.
Up to at least 1 or 2 pics a month of the church. Should have a nice collection by the time the year is over.

Is the IR? I'm looking into getting into IR, is there any complete noob tutorials that you know of that you could link me to? At the minute, I'm looking at this...

Yep, tis IR. The GF1 is very receptive to IR. No problems composing & focusing with the filter in place. Same with setting the WhiteBalance. My D80 was useless at IR, needed very long exposures to even get some thing of a pic.

Heres Exif for the image

Camera Panasonic DMC-GF1
Exposure 10s
Aperture f/5.0
Focal Length 20 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV

Im enjoying it as it opens a new way of shooting, espcially in the mid-day sun or late afternoon. That was taken at 4:30 on the way home from work.

P/P is a bit convaltued. Export the RAW from LR2.5 as a TIF, open in CS3. Apply an action i found (http://www.outdooreyes.com/photo95.php3). Save the TIF, re-import back into LR, then tweak as needed. Finally save it.
Be easier if CS3 supported the GF1 RAW's but it doesnt :(

Another TZ7 shot, very happy with the quality I'm getting from it, can't justify an SLR with my current budget and photo skills, taken off my own DA, I asked whether it was hotlinking and didn't get a response so going with it for now, if we're not supposed to be using DA images then I'll put ones I'm putting on here on flickr as well, it's just easier to only to have to host things once. :)

I had a quick play with some photos I did with Helen today. Needs more work but thought I would post these two edits.

Going for a 'warm' summery feel.

Sans flare

And another, again just a quick edit which I will play with more later.

love the second without flare.

flare just looks like layer > gradient > opacity reduction.

edit... second thoughts... the pic with the flare if isolated from the series looks very good. Shows you what an impact a series has!
