@Scoobie Dave, I am using a 6600 version it seems to get 3.3Ghz stable (quad prime) but at 1.55V and at that voltage produces stupid amounts of heat (hitting low-mod 70's with ninja set to high using ADDA fan.) So in my case doenst overclock amazingly but 3Ghz is easily reached using only 1.4v and only 56c at load with ninja on silent mode.

Not sure on pricing, got mine free, you wont really find anyone selling them as some people are stupid and would actually try to go back to intel for support and the seller would then be up the creek.

Fair enough m8. Im not ready to go down the Intel route just yet due to lack of decent motherboards.

Anyone using the new 91.45 drivers?

Dont get me wrong though mate, even with this crappy P5W asus it still is hugely faster than my previous FX57 and 965XE, as well has my conroe E6600 in games like Oblivion, even CSS I have seen frame rate from no HDR maps of 500 at times and with HDR maps I am seeing 60-100 fps with full HDR and 16AF and 16FSAA, this processor is monsterously fast.

At the end of the day my cpu is not exactly slow so im prepared to wait for a decent SLI mobo from DFI. :)
 
Hi,

Just installed a BFG 7950 GX2 and was wondering if someone could confirm the clocks that show in 3DM06.

My score at stock with a 3800X2 (also at stock) is 6713 which 'feels' about right.

The weird thing is the core and memory clocks in 3DM06 show as 0 (zero).
Is this normal or is something wrong?

Mine also shows as 0 but seems fine.

Well im sure I will get a quad core cpu one day, gotta say the future does look bright :cool:

I would go for the EVGA card because of the warranty and the step up program.

This means that you can upgrade to DX 10 and just pay the difference :D
Not sure what they clock like though...

Anone got one ?

Thanks for the advice, have just gone ahead and ordered that very one....... Was waiting for the 1950XTX but............... enough said. Hopefully get the GX2 friday. I will let you know how im liking it etc then.

What do you think the likelihood is of me being able to use this 90 day step up program? I mean will there be a new card available that's better in the next 3 months?

I'm currently running the 701 bios, it's the one that it shipped from OCUK with. I haven't had any issues with it at all, so haven't flashed it with the newer revisions.
