The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

my red devil is lovely :)

Yeah it was one I was going to get but ended up with a Aorus 5700XT off OcUK, but unfortunately returning that one due to heat and stability issues, I do have a Red Dragon that I borrowed off a friend and this is really good chip so I hope Red Devil is similar

any forza horizon 4 players here?

1440p here all maxed out settings

getting frames 70-100ish and gpu always at 100%

cpu is 3900x ryzen with 32gb ram etc.

temps seem to get to around 78-80c, junction around 95c most games.

is this what you guys are seeing too? feels a bit weak.

it's a powercolour dual fan card.

First you should check what Graphc API Forza 4 uses. Vulkan API on AMD cards is superior to DX12, which is superior to DX11.
Gonna Check as well, just need to download the game first.

actually looks like it performs where it should looking at reviews etc..

I dumped the voltage down a bit by 0.4 and that seemed to reduce temps to 71-72c and junction to 90ish c

Havent played forza ina while, what cpu do you have and what percentage isit at whilst running forza?

it's a ryzen 3900x but forza doesn't seem cpu heavy, sits at 15-20% max.

Got my Red Devil today, currently running 2120mhz on core with 1170mv in valley benchmark, temps seem fine at 48% fan speed but I'll continue tweaking make sure its 100% stable

Edit: Managed 2100mhz with 1156mv ingame stable, I can go higher but I need to wait for my 140 fans I think to arrive make sure junction keeps below 90

Anyone ever seen a 5700xt like this? Its called "yeston" 5700x5, and is pretty weird looking.

From what I’ve experienced (and read from other posts) it all seems to depend on your luck in getting a good card.

My Nito+ - non special edition is happy at 2024MHz clock with an undervolt of 1100mV which isn’t too extreme. Some people reckon they get down to a stable 1950mHz at 1000mV. Others go the other way and achieve far greater clock speeds than me at lower voltages than I can run at 2024.

I have got the Special Edition Nitro 5700XT anybody recommend undervolt settings? Any sweetspots?

It's just trial and error.

Grab Heaven 4.0, leave it running. Open Wattman. Start reducing voltages at 25mV intervals. When you think you have something stable at a clock speed you're happy with, run the benchmark. If it's still stable, close Heaven, and load up a game with a built-in benchmarking tool (like Forza Horizon 4). Run the benchmark, watch for artifacts and/or stability issues. If it passed that, you maybe have stable settings. Test it some more, by doing multiple benchmark runs, trying other benchmarks, or playing some games. Just just be aware that if, after doing all of this, you have issues with games crashing or system instability, the undervolt could be the reason.

If you have problems at any point in the process, up the voltage by 25mV and start the benchmarking process again (could probably skip Heaven - it's only used because it's free and convenient).

Once you find settings that work, you may want to repeat the process with smaller decreases in voltage (say, 5mV at a time). But many don't. The effect of 1095mV vs 1100mV is negligible.
