The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

what I would suggest is that we underclock the cards to the base clock speed (1,605mhz), leave the fans on 100% then reduce the voltage until stable and then use that mv figure. This will help remove any thermal or environmental conditions.

Any better ideas ?

I've settled on the following clock speed and settings for my new 5700 XT AE.

Pk27M88.jpg
2009Mhz (default 2063Mhz)
900Mhz (Default 875Mhz)
1.075v (Default 1.200mv)
Max fan speed 42% at 100c Junction temp

Under full load after 30+ minutes at 99% GPU usage running Rise of the Tomb Raider at 3440x1440P, i see a peak of 100C Junction temp.

Is noise really that bad? I've watched a couple of videos but they never show what its like first hand. I'm use to watercooled cards so run pretty much dead quiet. Thinking of picking up a ref card tomorrow from a competitor for under £400.

Do you mind comparing a benchmark with me?
Name whichever 3DMark one you want as I've bought it.

I'll set my none AE to the same settings (Clock/Voltage wise)

Noise is on the eye of the beholder here. A 40db triple fan RTX2080Ti is "silent" yet a 40db blower 5700XT is too loud!!!!!
Then you realize something is fishy going on with the reviewers.

I don't think I can run exactly at your settings on Firestrike Ultra.
I think I need 1100MV.

And just score I'm after really.
Most likely, my regular 5700 XT required more voltage to pass benchmarks, and even more for long term gaming stable. Just add more voltage till you can complete the run without artifacts or crashing. You'll probably need more over a long gaming session mind.

I use to have 2 x 5870's in xfire with blower fans and by god they were loud haha! I've never had a blower fan since so as you can imagine im abit skeptical about getting another :p
