The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Owners Thread.

Card came yesterday delighted with it so far! Loving the all-metal shroud design.

It's actually smaller than the old 390 is replacing. The temps have been great so far(especially compared to the 390) but I am curious as to why they have a vent at the back to exhaust the heat out of the case.

Looks really slick in the case too. Colour matches nicely with the RAM.

My OCD is in overdrive. That AIO corsair logo, please for the love of God, straighten it up :p:D

Very nice!

What case is that?

It's the Corsair i220t RGB AIRFLOW XYX Blahh Blahh...(there is a black & a white one. no idea why they went so mad with the naming). It's a great case, really compact & well built. Got it new of my friend for 40 quid since the GPU he bought for his build didn't fit in :p

Only issue is the tight space underneath for a lot of power cables if you install drives in the HDD caddy. Modular PSU is a requirement.

Y'know people were were/are going on about only 10gb of Vram on the nvidia cards may or may not cause a problem, well I was messing around on Crysis remastered yesterday as I've got a graphical prob with the visuals (shimmering animated characters but performance isn't affected). Well with the graphics set to "high" in the options, and running msi a/f, I noticed I was using 9,400ish gb of Vram. Now I know nvidia's memory compression is really good so 10gb usage isn't as bad as you'd think, but still, its an indication as to how these games are being developed to use more Vram.
Just an observation really.

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Radeon RX 6800 (XT).

Am still testing but maaaaaaaaaaaaaan I really love this card!!!

Boosting to a max of about 2450 at 1v atm

Knocking roughly 100w from the usage and only taking a small hit with the Mhz boost.

Hi all
I tested my rx 6800 further and my experience if I try to overclock the mem on the card my system randomly restarts, sometime couple of hours later sometimes just couple of minutes later.
For example on 2050 Mhz 3 hour WOW Shadowlands was alright but after I browsed on the net and my system restarted.
First I thought the undervolt is the problem or cpu overclock, but when I set everything to base and just the VGA ram was overclocked the same happened.
Now I use my system with everything overclocked undervolted except VGA ram and works everything fine.

Couple of questions coming from nvidia cards and don't have much experience with amd side: How safe is increase the voltage here? It's like nvidia that is limited and doesn't risk anything? Power limit ok, it's always fine to raise I guess. Also, from some reviews people said that memory overclock was more beneficial to the fps rather than clock frequency, It's that correct?

Yeeeeeeeeeees, it arrived. Best looking reference card I've ever seen. £600 well spent i hope...
