When I can finally be arsed getting my pc set up again I'll have to try the red devil in oc mode bios setting. Totally forgot about that switch and its been on the silent setting since I got it.

I wouldn't expect too many significant changes. Slightly higher power limit, core clock speeds and fan limit I reckon. XTXH or XTX model?

@varkanoid can probably add more colour to the differences on the Red Devil.

I can't understand how you can play with low textures. I prefer to use competitive settings, but crank the texture quality and filtering up. Improves image quality significantly, and costs very little FPS wise.

It’s only texture resolution that is at low. Everything else is on high. Even shadow map textures.

It can all be done with Radeon Software? Even better! I have sharpening cranked up to 100 as well btw. My game doesn’t look ugly by any means. It’s just the loading texture issue that bothers me. I’ll report back in an hour with a video demonstrating it on all the texture res settings.

Yup. That's what I use to record my videos. Small FPS hit too, a few FPS or so.

Good call, Radeon Image Sharpening should always be enabled in my personal opinion as it improves image quality.

It's a lot less noticeable on the footage because it's running at 60 all the time, but once I crank up the texture to High then it's unmistakable. FPS never goes below like 170 btw and it's still jittery as hell.

Make sure you have MSI Afterburner running so we can see overlay (with a frame time graph) like what you see in my videos.

Well, it should show any variance in frame times which would display as a spike in the graph, which may indicate stuttering.

Guides on YouTube should help you set it up.

You must be joking it was OC mode as soon as I got that baby.
In fact switch was set to OC as default IIRC as at first I thought it was on silent because of how quiet it was compared to the 3080FE it replaced.

You should, see how it goes. I'm fairly certain it won't be your cup of tea, but another data point wouldn't hurt.

I only play it to see if it stutters, which it never does.

Probably not I dont really like MP games, is it Fortnite for Grown Ups who have a mental age of 6 ?

You’ll be interested to know that I can max out rebirth island. Like, highest settings on everything - texture resolution, tessellation, Screen reflections. I even set a couple to ultra and not even a hint of a stutter.

I’m starting to think the map is just poorly optimised. There’s nothing wrong with my card.
