It looks ugly to me.
I don't know about you but I prefer to look at the monitor when gaming.

It looks ugly to me.
Okay had another rush of blood to the head and went for a 6900xt which is the card I originally wanted months ago to complete my AMD setup.
Had a slight panic attack today when I realised it was too long for my current case config so had to put my AIO radiator in the roof and check my
box of bits for what other fans I had. Just my luck the Corsair one I found was blue and not red. So here are a few pics and I need to look for some
fans for the front. Supplied sag stand was too large so once again went for the trusted lego stand.
Recently got a PowerColor rx 6900 xt red devil Ultimate (XTXH). Pretty pleased with it and more importantly the OC I got out of it!
Max stable OC for games of ~2750, 2690 being stable for time spy benches. Running at 1160mv core and 2150 memory. Seeing sustained speeds over 2600 at all times which is nice.
Here is a pic, its a bit messy but it works:
Had to use some old 8pin pcie extensions as the rm1000 cables are so stiff i could not get the side on
Waiting for my new 8+8+8 cables to arrive. Still trying hit the sweet spot with my overclock

Well i have become a very unexpected 6900 XT member after a deal which was just to good to pass up, tbh the whole build has changed a lot from my original vision of a completely black stealth build. It morphed in to a black/grey theme becasue of component choice (not liking original options) and deals which presented themselves.
For TROH
I really should update my case (Lian-Li V2000B) but I really can't bring myself to part with it and I can't find another inverted case I like
I've just discoverd that a XFX 6900 XT Speedster Merc 319 Limited Edition (XTXH) exists and is for sale in the UK. Colour me interested.
I'm not sure I want an AIO to be honest, I quite enjoy having an air cooled card and I know the capabilities of the Merc cooler and how quiet it is.
The extra memory speed would be nice though tbf.
I thought the llc cards were for oems so you wouldn't be able to buy one anyway?
Things have moved faster than expected.
The seller accepted the return on the Asus TUF, I sent it Monday and the refund came through today.
The order for the XFX also arrived today.
The metal bar thing does have some benefit in terms of reducing the strain on the motherboard connector if you are transporting or dropping your case, but it's fairly ugly: it's like having a small steel girder in your case, the corner isn't rounded off at all, and a support that actually held the far end of the card would be more solid.
But overall, I'm happy with the card.

Thanks, I'm the list twice now.
You can delete out the "Asus TUF" entry as that lasted two weeks and got RMA'd.
For the roll of honour please @Kaapstad.
My impressions:
Decided to move on my 6700 XT and 6900 XT Merc golden samples and switch to a Sapphire Toxic Extreme XTXH 6900 XT. Cheers @Gibbo and OcuK. First graphics card purchased from here for a while.
This card is really nicely built and looks fantastic with all the RGBs going. AIO pipes ruin the look a bit, but other than that looks wise it is lovely.
The actual graphics card is smaller than i was expecting and it looks tiny compared to the Merc 6900 XT it replaced.
In terms of noise and temperatures it delivers excellent temperatures up there with true water cooling and it is quiet. Silent on the power saving BIOS and quiet on the performance BIOS at 38% fan speed.
It is loud above 40% fan speed so I can see why some other users on other forums replaced the fans. I like the RGB look of the fans so I will keep them, however I like quiet in my man cave so I will run it at a max of 38% fan speed as even going balls to the wall it can keep the hotspot temp around 80c average and peaking at 85c.
38% fan speed is enough to play games at a locked core clock speed of 2750Mhz+ (500Mhz over MBA 6900 XT on the core clock) with the memory running at 2162Mhz.
Settings
It is disgustingly fast at these clock speeds and something air cooled cards just cannot do. When i say fast, it is now beating out LN2 and Chiller/water cooled 3090's on Timespy, Firestrike Extreme and Ultra in graphics score on 3DMark. @Besty

Power usage (PPT metric in HWINFO64) is anywhere from 350-400W in games at these clocks and it doesn't even have to work hard to achieve these speeds and keep low temps.
Would I recommend it? For the regular gamer no, It's just too expensive.
However, if you want the best (and it is the best I've used a lot of 6900 XTs) and you like to benchmark and/or you want to run games at the highest possible resolutions, clock speeds with no compromises (in terms of noise, temperatures or performance/FPS ) then I would recommend it.
Now I need to find a new home for the fastest golden sample XFX Merc 6900 XT round these parts. @djay It served me well.
