Good idea, I guess I goofed up by gifting her fiancé an Xbox Series S with an Acer monitor after his xbox died, when it should be the other way around. I'm already blessed to have 3 gaming PC's, with a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900XT, Asus ROG STRIX RTX 3080 Ti OC Edition, Asus TUF Gaming OC Edition RX 6700XT, and Asus GTX 1080 (selling Rig #3 so it's not in my signature).
Thanks again. But I did already make the list on 04/06/2021 for my Nitro+
Decided to downgrade my Arctic AIO from 420 to Arctic 360 A-RGB, mainly so that I can now fit the Toxic 360 rad into my case properly rather than having the roof off and resting it on top.
Due to the downgrade and having more space, I was also able to have the barbs at the bottom rather than the top for the Arctic AIO. Should mean I get less gargling noises and I've certainly not heard any so far.
Looks a lot more tidy than it did, but it was a tight fit getting everything into the Phanteks P600s case.
Back's gone now with all that bending over.
@Kaapstad - Please can you update my picture for the roll of honour? Thanks.
Last thing I need to do is replace the rear fan for an Arctic A-RGB 120mm fan to match the CPU AIO.
Having reached the oh stuff it stage of the game of price-drop-tv that is tracking GPU prices, I now have one of these:
And straight out of the box (well out of the box, into the PC, loop drain and rebuild, leak test etc., but radeon software all default), I got this:
Which was nice.
it's gotten better over a few hours and hopefully another night of 300 fps+ in heaven will sort it.
A workaround is to limit fps to 75 (max of the monitor) and the GPU power draw drops and it calms (teenie tiny pops n stuff).
for @Kaapstad
Please add me to the owners list when you get a chance. Thanks Kaap.
It's been an interesting few days getting used to my new card. It's a powerhouse in normal gaming, no issues there at all. However, in VR with the Quest 2, it's not as good as the 2070 Super it has replaced, I am hoping that a CPU upgrade will improve things there. Haven't tried any Ray Tracing games yet.
