The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

With PT it's gonna be unplayable without fake frames isn't it? Unless you're on a 5090.

Edit. Though I presume no FSR4 in this because it's Vulkan. So those charts aren't quite apples to apples are they? FSR 3.1 doesn't hold a candle to DLSS4 unfortunately

The 9070XT is getting 96fps at native 1440P so it is apples to apples. It's faster than most of the cards without the help of upscaling.

I should add that mine is the Quicksilver gaming edition which doesn't have magnetic fans so it might not be the exact same. It can also depend on how good the airflow in your case is. You could try a lower fixed fan speed and run a stress test to make sure the hotspot and memory temperatures aren't too high.
Mine is the quicksilver mag air edition, I think they are essentially the same apart from the way the fans attach. Just got a new case, air flow should be decent, pic below.

Damn my 9070 sold way faster than I was expecting, didn't even have it listed on eBay for a full 24 hours before it was snapped up, no best offers or anything just took the buy it now price.

I put it on for 500, I thought was fair and someone could get a good deal on a card that is basically brand new.

So you sold it too cheap

Nah not really. I sold it for £516.71, I checked through the recent sales of that card and preowned ones have sold as low as £470 and even some brand new sealed ones sold at exactly the same price that mine sold so it's right on the mark really. Healthy resale market at the moment still.

I bought it at MSRP so got my money back for it basically.

Why did you sell out of curiosity?

EDIT: wasn’t following thread. You got a 9070XT XFX- that’s great hence the sale.

Indeed. Found a great deal on HUKD, managed to grab the XFX Quicksilver magnetic air for £599.

Was happy with the 9070 and all but it felt like too good of a deal to miss especially since I could sell 9070 for what I bought it for.

Happens all the time with AMD, release price is high and that's what the reviews are based on then give it a couple of weeks and they drop the price but the reviews won't change and still base it's value on launch prices

The reason I bought one is that it has better raster performance in the games I play compared to it's Nvidia counterpart.
If the 5070Ti was the card that had better raster in the games I played, I would have purchased that.

how noisy are your 9070xts, mines taking off and capped my fps in bo6 to 200 and made no difference. gigabyte 9070xt oc version, ive swapped it to silent bios option at that and its still too noisy, fans must be running full speed, what can i do?

Run a stress test and check your temperatures with hwinfo.

You are only stating your opinion. I’m looking at the obvious buying trends where people in the market for mid range have a price cap of around £650. A 5070Ti at £730 is clearly perceived as too expensive for a decidedly mid range GPU.
Do you have actual sales figures showing the 9070 XT is outselling the 5070 Ti or are you just guessing here? If it is outselling the 5070 Ti then it shows how effective AMD's fake MSRP marketing strategy was, not that it's a better value GPU.

In the post you quoted it literally says I got one for £615, but this was a price glitch not the intended price. In terms of what's available right now the cheapest 9070 XT is £660 and it doesn't include a free game you can sell on eBay.

B-Grade only has a short warranty and there's a good chance it was returned for excessive coil whine.

I just got an XFX Quicksilver 9070 XT in ** COMPETITOR DISUSSION **, magnetic air edition too.

Again, comparing a normal price 5070 Ti to a deal price 9070 XT is not a fair comparison. If you compare a £630 9070 XT to the £667 5070 Ti mentioned earlier and account for the 5% better raster performance then £667 / 1.05 = £635. The better power efficiency would easily make the 5070 Ti better raster performance per dollar in the long run.
Eddie dear boy this is 9070xt owners thread. Nobody cares about nvidia cards. It’s for owners of you know 9070 cards to chat.

Check your temperatures and fan RPM with something like hwinfo, if the fans are at full speed and hotspot temperatures in the 90's then it could be faulty.
i just ran hwinfo and that's reporting max of gpu of 58 and max gpu hotspot 80.5, max fan of 4250rpm as you can imagine next door will hear me

i loaded gigabyte control centre and messed around with the fan control, its now bearable and max hotspot of 84.5 but at least it quieter, what I don't get is its hitting speeds of 3250mhz abouts, yet its boost clock is supposed to be 3060mhz, I've got it on the silent bios option so would have thought it would be lower clocks?

Mines a sapphire nitro.

It was loud out of the box, I think the fan curve might have been set wrong. Seemed to improve after resetting in adrenalin (still loud, but no 100% anymore). My hot spot seems to run hotter than normal, only a few degrees but enough for fans to go to 60/70% instead of the quiet 30%

Reduce power limit to 80 or 85 etc, undervolt to get clocks back up, fixes it for me.
I can only do -30/-40 uv, -60 was fine in everything else I could find but diablo4 would crash the driver.
