The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

True but it's only that game strangely
I've not googled this issue with The Last of Us II, but the first game would crash if rebar was enabled at certain points. The sequel might have inherited the same bug.

Edit - Oops, realised you were talking about Cyberpunk. Maybe still worth noting for The Last of Us II though :)

im finding my reaper xt has a real dislike for cyberpunk, when try to UV, just crashes, its fine if i activate Chill though and ramp up ram up fans with the UV, bring vram temps down to more sane levels, but its only really ctberpunk that has the issue weirdly
Is that with patch tracing enabled? I read there is a bug that crashes CP2077 at random with PT enabled. I've confirmed this as I sometimes stream the game at 1080p to my ROG Ally and with PT it crashes sometimes within minutes, sometimes it takes an hour, but with PT disabled and just RT it runs fine.

I'm finding UV varies, it's fine at the best -100 for certain games, but playing Last of Us II, -50 crashes.
Yeah, same. -130 is fine for a lot of titles, but others fall over at -50.

Heaven was a good test, falls over on scene change when the clocks drop low.
Diablo 4 is the worst (so far, unstable at -50), clocks are generally lower while playing

Haven't tried with the new driver yet, apparently it can be better. Maybe they raised the voltage at low clocks etc. Would be helpful if we had a curve editor

How much are you trying to push your UV? my goes nuts below -80ish. It doesn't bother me though, silicon lottery. It still boost to 3150ish in some games with -75mv and +10% PL. The hynix ram on my sample seems not care when pushing it to 2750+ but also, I haven't found any case with the gain has been more than 1ish fps at 3440x1440 so I don't bother with it.

pretty sure I've seen mine boost to 3300/3400 (9070xt)

What util should I use to fully ramp up the boosting for GPU-Z to monitor max boost?

Yeah but mine isn't the XT model. I'm very power restrained. You got like another 100-130ish watts to play with if you want. Don't take this the wrong way as its still sweet :).

Regarding util, I would say a game. FX my 9700 non XT boost the highest in diablo 4 if I enable raytracing, where I see above 3200mhz at times. Some other games I cant get over 3100mhz with the same settings. So it requires a lot of testing and meddling.

I've tried many of them ATM I'm down at -50 memory standard, power anything from -20 to -30

Latest drivers
Don't know why hasn't included total averages Vs 5070ti
"And pricing in other key regions sees it more like 30-40% more expensive, meaning currently, the 9070 XT is very poor value. Then when compared to the 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT is even less compelling in my opinion."

Pretty much echoes my thoughts, the fact that they're offering worse value than the 5070 and 5070 Ti at current pricing in most regions and still selling well 2 months on is a credit to their marketing strategy. Looking at that new Black Ops 6 result where the 9070 XT is 29.3% faster than the 5070 Ti makes me very glad that I went for the 9070 XT though.

It's even better if paid £569 or close to it

What's the 9070 like compared to previous gen, relating to brute force rendering? What does it and the XT version, match up to? Or are they both superior for raster over the last gen? Anyone made the jump to this gen from last gen, able to tell any difference?
Yep I've literally just upgraded from a 7900 GRE.
I installed my Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT this morning.

Only done a quick Tarkov raid but it's running and looking so much better. I'd say about 30-40 FPS more.

In 3Dmark, these are the improvements I got:
Firestrike Extreme - from 25101 to 30437
Time Spy - from 18456 to 23068
Port Royal - 12131 to 18725

Rest of my specs are in my sig.

I wasn't expecting that much of an improvement so I'm pretty damn happy. The upgrade cost me £269 with the sale of my 7900 GRE.

I guess Scandinavia isn't a key region or part of one :D but here we can get the 9070XT atleast 10% cheaper than the 5070ti.

I really want a voltage/frequency curve editor. Unfortunately none exist for this card.
I'm quite lucky that the -100mV UV I've settled on works in everything I've played for the last few months. I've had certain games work as low as -175mV though, which tells me I could do better with a curve editor.

Playing last of Us 2, setting max in GPU-Z clock speed, 3253mhz

I did post a fix earlier which worked for me will try to find it

this worked for me

his issue was caused by the update messing with the shader files its not an "AMD" issue its a game issue

Remove the old files from documents folder remove following files

s.1.0.cod24.m s.1.0.cod24.txt0 s.1.0.cod24.txt1

https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/comments/1kcewtw/directx_crash_since_update/

I had to do this yesterday morning after the update it was a touch frustrating till I changed the files

If in doubt delete the whole documents file its worth a go
This and the newest comment on there completely fixed the crashing
