Back in the day when the pound was absurdly, idiotically overvalued. The HD 4850's MSRP (and actual street price) was $200.

I want to test the 9070XT in the second system, which has a 7800XT. can i just update the driver then make the switch? or do i need to DDU etc if i'm already on AMD?

Thanks

Interested to hear back about coil whine on this model when you've had chance to use for a while
Got my Steel Legend Saturday, had a few long sessions on it and not had any coil whine yet. Not played around with overclocking just yet, closest I got was turning on the auto overclock which resulted in lower benchmarks so disabled that

Is this about right? My monitor is 180hz and I noticed that the frame rate doesn't go over that during the benches (tho regularly was hitting 180), no idea if that is correct or not but vsync/freesync were all off.

Its a little low but not miles out. My graphics score is between 29,000 & 31,000 with an undervolt

It was an ASUS 5850 with the horse on the box actually lol.

Edit: Nvm,it was an XFX full shroud HD4850 1GB. I still have my HD4830 with the exact same cooler. Off topic sorry.

Edit 2: I just noticed, the HD4000 series used GDDR3 apart from the HD4870 right? I had a 4870,i even remember it had like 115gb/s. Off topic!
