The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Been playing Lies of P all afternoon on the Red Devil. 180-200FPS at 4k. Much better than my 3080. Also barely any fan sounds. GPU runs cool at 48C. Pretty impressed so far. Will start looking into undervolting and overclocking tomorrow.

Nearly couldn’t fit it into my M2 Grater case it’s that big.

Here's my Hellhound's Timespy -75mv +10% power limit.

Wow, yeah! Even with a fairly modest overclock, it still pulls 375W . But a slight undervolt works wonders!

Disable RGB that'll save a few watts lol
Well my card is plugged in and it looks like it working, but it was a nightmare to get it into the case. There's just enough room, but it kept on catching on things I couldn't see when I tried to maneuver it into place. But it's in, it's working and the other end is currently resting on top of of a hdd caddy, with my mobos power cable squished between the 2, lol. I would show a picture, but inside my case is dusty as heck so I'm not gonna :P.

However I thought If i didnt plue the rgb cable into the monitor that the RGB would be turned off - I was wrong, and I think the cable I need to unplug is pressed right up against the mobo. And there's no way I'm gonna unscrew and unplug everything just to turn off the RGB light.

Pulse 9070 is a smidge shorter and a bit wider than the Asrock 6700 XT Challenger Pro from AliExpress it replaces.

It's been entombed in my NR200p. I tried to get a Steel Legend 9070XT or XFX Swift White 9070XT at MSRP but it was not to be. Much as I'd like a white card I use the mesh side panel rather than glass and the case is hidden behind my monitors, so it'll never been seen.

There is still room below the card for a couple of 15mm slim intake fans, but I reckon it should run cool enough without.

I've gone from Hellhound to Hellhound with the RX 9070 XT replacing a RX 6600!

I chucked it in to run off an EVGA Supernova 550W G3 PSU and it seems fine. My setup has pulled a max of 426W from the wall when running the benchmark in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4k with everything on high except Path Tracing.

Idle power consumption seems high at ~115W from the wall.

Reckon it is sensible to throw in the Corsair RM850x I ordered alongside the Hellhound?
Interesting that it seems to be running ok with the XT. I have the same psu and it was one of the reasons I went for the non XT as I am hoping my current psu will cope so I don't have to spend another £130 upwards on a new one.

Just swapped out my aging Vega 56 Pulse with a 9070 XT Reaper which is barely larger than the Pulse. Not going to push it until tomorrow as currently on a Corsair TX650W PSU and have a replacement arriving tomorrow so fun to be had then. Small bag of haribo was the cherry on top :D
