The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Just swapped out my aging Vega 56 Pulse with a 9070 XT Reaper which is barely larger than the Pulse. Not going to push it until tomorrow as currently on a Corsair TX650W PSU and have a replacement arriving tomorrow so fun to be had then. Small bag of haribo was the cherry on top :D

You should be fine unless you're heavily overclocking .... PSUs can take spikes well above their rated spec

I just plugged in my XFX 9070 XT Mercury OC... it consumes about 310W playing Cyberpunk.. I haven't tinkered much at all. but I'm impressed. I came from a 4090 (sold that to get a 5090 but eta was June)... Bought this card instead but it looks like I'm going to keep it :D
if you undervolt you'll actually use more power don't ask me why :P

Snug fit bit it does :)

I just did a random couple of runs on timespy and my 6700xt Pulse is 50% less on the GPU score.
Timespy was at stock settings: GPU was 9,764 and CPU was 11,584 with a total of ..... 9,999.
I think a 9070 would be a good pairing for my old 5800x CPU. Time to save the pennies.
And thanks to those who posted their results.

I know I don't have a 9070 but thought it would be good for those on older cards so see the huge step up they could get.

9070xt Hellhound turned up runs well near silent fans and runs cool even at full load , slight bit of coil noise when loading Delta force but had that with my 6700xt but nothing that bothers me

massive improvement in Deltaforce can play with all the bells and whistles and it doesnt skip a beat 1440p ultra 126fps average really chuffed my old card struggled on this game

the i5-10400f is holding up still but certain with something a touch newer I could add 10-20% extra to the frames the plan is to upgrade the rest of the system later in the year

That card at £569 is a legit bargain. Congrats!

Don’t congrat me, I paid £680 from a competitor. :( you just reminded me how much I over paid…

I justified paying £110 over ‘MSRP’ cos I’ve been without a card for 4 months now, failed to secure a 5080 and now a msrp 9070xt. In the end, I just decided to take the L.

Don't despair mate I paid 716£ for mine.
Great gpu but I have buyer's remorse

Waiting for an Asus Prime 9070 non XT but I think it is getting delivered by snails as it is taking ages to arrive :P. If I'm lucky I'll have around Monday or the day after. If your wondering why I picked the non XT then it was simply because the retailers in my area were charging around 20 to 30% more for the XT depending on the model versus the 9070 I got. The only retailer who offered XT's at MSRP didn't handle it very well as their shop was doing shady thing. Pressing buy on any other item in the store worked but not on the MSRP XT's and then they were gone 5-10 minutes later.

with a tidy undervolt and memory OC the non-xt scores surprisingly close to the XT and at a lot fewer watts, it's a pretty tidy deal that will pay dividends in summer.
