I just raced through the 8k metal that Skill sent me - thanks a lot for that btw. But I'm making a plea for a bit more to keep me going until I'm self-sufficient (well, sufficient enough to be getting metal/crystal at a steady rate and being able to start building a fleet)! the_brainaic - Ballydehob - [1:329:11] btw.
 
Can any body beat 23 fields ?

It's planet number 15 in it's system and get meagre 8 energy from 1 solar satellite. I was going to power 23 dueterium fields with solar power, but that's not feasible. I've had to shut down all metal, crystal and research buildings. I'm left with
Solar power level 10
Deuterium level 9
Shipyard level 4 (for defenses and large cargos)

It's churning out a whopping 325 deuterium each and every hour.

Luckily the Beer Tent has 210 fields :cool:

My #2 is 70 fields... :s

Solar sats are only really effective up to planet pos 4.

I'm using my #2 planet as a deut mine.
Reasoning - The deut mine is the most power hungry mine.
Planet 2 is close enough to get nearly full sat power (49 per sat) and have a few more fields, on average, than #1's.
The reduction in amount of deut mined per level (up to 40% of a diff between 1 & 15) would be offset by the level of mine I could power on that planet.

Also got a #15 planet, (178 fields!) which is also getting used as a deut mine, to compare the difference.

Soooooo, in about a month, or two, or three... I'll tell you which worked out better. :)

Love the names tho. :D

nice series of planet names anyway,

my smallest is 150 fields, and that's the planet in the tng area, others have got 188 and 163 fields, so not too bad...
 
Away on holiday, so if you see me with an (i) next to my name in the T.N.G galaxy dont attack me, I need them resources :p

Realistically if a good proportion decided they wanted to participate in a war then several colonies with shipyards once you reach the right tech level should comfortably belt out 20 a day assuming you can raid enough to cover the cost. It wouldnt take long to amass a good number of decent fleets to crash tupa planets all over the place. I dont suppose all of their members have large fleets, the workload involved in fleetsaving all the time must put people off.

In case you're wondering, yes I have already started production on multiple planets ;)
 
arggg havnt been attacked since i started and got hit twice last night by Jo Shizzle (2:66:6) and BECK (2:31:8) won and drew the batles but 356,600 and 118,000 debis in space..... could you guys probe these gits and give em a scare?
