***The (renamed) official Ogame thread***

i played Astronest while i was at Uni - that'll be the year i almost failed then :o :D

this seems good though - when banner ads take too long to load it's a bit of a pain, though there's always the option of paying £1.99 a month or £5 per 3 months

VeNT - I played Planetarion as well, and as far as I can see from this game it's a lot different. The realtime situation completely changes gameplay when compared to the 'tick' system in Planetarion. They're both equally engrossing though!

yeah astronest was a similar system to Planetarion, you got one turn every 5 mins, maximum of 300 turns before it started binning the excess

found myself checking it every few minutes to see if i had another turn yet - was far worse than this game :p

quick question - can i send my recyclers along with my cargos and have them bring back extra res from an undefended inactive planet?

would be good to have the extra 20K space if it's possible

I know that when theres a star next to a planet on the galaxy screen that means that there is action there, but what do the numbers mean?
It means how long ago some fleet activity was at the planet. Could be either a probe or a fleet, there is no way of knowing.

davey hows things coming along with your defence n that ?

you got many colonys ?

i cant figure why your still 5k points behind me but have a nanite factory n that ? you not got any colonys or just lower level mines or what ?! i dont get the points scheme !

If I deploy a ship to another planet & fill it with resources will they still be received just as if I had transported them there?

All my defences are built, so it'll take a nice big fleet to get me now. I only have 2 colonies (but 3rd currently en route, assuming no one beats me to it), so that could be a factor. I'll be doing more colonies next week, so I hope to be catching you up soon ;)

fRostiE: The points work on the simple basis that 1k or resources spent = 1 point. Deut used as fuel for fleet movement doesn't count. However, deut used in building things DOES count.

Anyone know if the scores are calculated on what you've got, or on what you've ordered

eg if i've got say 10 battleships in my shipyard queue, will those battleships count towards my score whilst they are still in the queue, or only after they are actually complete and ready for me to use...

I think (I may be wrong here) that the score bumps up on what you've ordered (as that is when the res is spent), but the scores only update at specific times of day.
