I think i've got defense, i've gone to the defense screen and whacked 5 into that box (presume that ordered me 5???) and pressed enter... took about an hour and now in the box it says '5 available' by the side of the name.

Does that mean i've got them protecting me ?

yeah it does should have 5 missile launchers available then

Well it would take 6:19:33 h to get to you. Oh well. Think I better leave him alone for a while then. I'm trying to get a recycler or two to collect all the debris in near by fields.

how do recyclers work?

I think they collect resources from destroyed ships and plants. They can collect 100% of the resources there as well.

i think you just send them to the debris field and they collect whatevers there.

yummy, my two L cargoes came back with a load of resources, another three hours and they are off again with their newly formed brethren

just snet 6 small cargos off to raid the same planet again, should bring me back some decent resources to play with.

anyway just got enough metal to research combustion lvl 6, my fleet wont be back for 4 hours, Im going shopping / meal / cinema so to cut a long story short, see ya tomorrow, well maybe tonight

Just sent a small cargo off to 2:134:4 no idea what defences they have so if someone could check to save me losing my cargo ship

Recyclers only collect debris from killed ships, seen as destroyed plants don't create debris, as they can't be destroyed
