Yep - just cargos and cruisers should keep you pretty busy during the early game. :)

Always make sure you have enough cargos to keep your fleet slots filled (even if they aren't most of the time).
 
This guy who attacked me seems to be a total moron and really wants to start a war. Quoting, "FFF wing are working their way down your ranks, im working my way up...only your noobs are safe".

A lot of us are in uni 3 too, and can't hold 2 accounts in the same uni.

But i wouldn't mind your res if you decide want to ship them over, or attack me for a moon chance. :p

Suffice to say there are some ruffled feathers after an attack and the founder and a buddy in FFF got banned today !
 
I left my fleet in my base for one night (it was on a mission and I went to bed before it got back) and it's the first time anyone's ever attacked me.

The end result was:

The attacker has won the battle!
He captures
115204 Metal, 115204 Crystal and 50590 Deuterium

The attacker has lost a total of 573000 Units.
The defender has lost a total of 2470000 Units.
At these space coordinates now float 480900 Metal and 282000 Crystal.
The chance for a moon to arise from the debris is 7 %
117 Missile Launcher, 50 Small Laser, 1 Small Shield Dome could be repaired.

So why did he bother attacking me? He got 280k res from me and lost 573k?

Took my damn recyclers out as well so I can't pick up the stuff on my DF for over 2 days because of my Shipyard queue. Anyone with recyclers is welcome to it, 1:67:7.
480900 Metal and 282000 Crystal there and I'd appreciate some of it since I now have to rebuild my whole fleet :)

If you want to split that res over to me too...need metal and crystal...Thats if you do decide to quit. It would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think i can make it, it's a 10 hour 1 way trip for me.

p.s., top 2000 player now !!! back where i was earlier this week before i got wiped out. And 2 more levels of Comp tech and we can research nanites.

no problems here, there is an alternative link somewere in this thread and i think it's on the forum.
 
Has anyone else had any trouble with this annoying Winfixer ad they have on Ogame at the mo? Unlike the usual banner ads, this one is of the popup "error message" as well. Sometimes seems to result in other Internet Explorer Windows closing as well when I close the popup.

Banner ads I can live with but this is winding me up. :mad:

yeah that was driving me mad all yesterday morning - they seemed to have dissapeared later though

there were loads of complaints about it on the OGame forums and I think they will be removing the offending ad banner, i haven't seen it since yesterday but obviously it's still around somewhere

I found that opening up a spare browser window and just letting it hijack that instead worked quite well - i think it got bored of me (either that or it managed to install itself :o)
 
Oh well at least yours works, Ogame doesnt seem to fancy working through my proxy at all, loads up a blank screen. Looks like i wont be playing it again because i cant seem to fathom the problem. Its the only website to do so, and even putting it on a filter so it isnt proxied doesnt help, it just doesnt like my new sparkly router :(.
 
And another now :eek: im just glad i spent a lot on defence before i came out of noob protection, it should keep most away,
useing speedsim i think i would have got a draw after 6 rounds from the first one, would have made it a bit pointless.
time to start building more cargos and keeping the res off planet.
