Ok, you should be fine so long as you don't interact with the other account at all (sending resources between accounts, or possibly even attacking to get it's resources). :)

Would fight you for it ! :p i'm 2 SS away and i've jsut cleaned it out today hehe

What fleet you got? Then I might consider fighting you for it :p

I'm newb so I think i'll pass. Those co-ords are mine! :p

Just attacked with a few cargo ships and a few hfers just to see. I managed to get out with 10475 Metal, 10475 Crystal and 0 Deuterium. Time to send everything :)

jammy git... my first 3 planets were crap.

I've got 4 colonies now, but i have dropped just as many. I've had one at 88, 90, 120, 135. I wanted to drop the one with 168 too but i'll do it later, it's serving me ok so far.

What are they?

When you get to built colony ships, you see the blank slots in the galaxy screen, you can colonise them. You will then get a planet, the size is random, but some slots have higher chance of getting bigger ones. The bigger it is, the more res you can produce. To get 300 + fields planet is consider very lucky.

yep - and if you check your overview screen you will see the size of your current planet

the size of your planet determines how many buildings you can build on it (defence doesn't take up fields), each field allows you to build one level of one type of building

Personally I'd rather pump my res into building ships and research than mines, it takes a long time for the difference of income to be worth spending 100k+ metal and 50k+ crystal on a single upgrade, not to mention getting the satellites to power it all

But mines produce the res for building ships and doing the research, although most of the res i use comes from raids i wouldnt be with out my mines,

metal at lvl 20, 10 and 10
crystal at 16, 10 and 15
deut at 15, 15 nd 10

that produces a lot of res across the 3 planets, it would take a lot of raiding on top of what i already do to replace that.

i guess it depends if you're in it for the short term or the long term, true it does take a while for the upgrade to pay for itself but it definately will - there are so many different ways of playing this game and at the end of the day it's your choice

at least you see the importance of research - that'a boy! :) :p

Well, sometimes i just want to spent my res whatever the most useful way. Whether it is defence, research or mines. If it's enough, i'll spent it, and the more you spent, the higher your ranking is. Building mines get you points that you can't lose, losing ships will lose you points.

And on the subject of losing ships............whats the best way to get a moon?
im right in saying i need a big fight at my planet, and i need a debris field of 2 million for a 20% moon chance to be left after the fight,
running speedsim, with the defence on my planet, it comes out with both me and the attacker needing 1500 light fighters each.
i would need 4.5 million metal, 1.5 million crystal just to build those fighters let alone find some one that is going to then fly theres at me
does this sound right? or is there a easyer way to get one?

rather than going for one 20% shot you should go for several 4% or 5% attempts

and rather than getting someone else to sacrifice their LF's just build them all yourself and let them send a load of cruisers and BS at you - much more likely to find a willing volunteer

edit: and whatever ships you use it will of course always cost you 3x the total amount required in res (since only 33% of the ships res ends up as debris) so for a 5% chance you're looking at 1.5mil res (not too hard with some good mines across 5 planets and a few days saving)

Build 1667 light fighters, cover my deut costs, and i'll crash them for you. :p

I may have two or three attempts when this war is over. :)

No. 20% is good because you are guaranteed a moon with a radius larger than 8000km, which makes it almost deathstar immune :)

Agreed. For bonus points, ask them to handle recycling, and offer to pay for their deuterium costs.

Make that 30%, and what you really want is 9, not 5, planets :)
