That was the problem, the bigger the balls the more likely you are to get kicked in them! He left a portion of fleet as bait and then JG in the main part of his fleet seconds before my attack.
 
Wow Civ77 - we worked together once or twice - like the ninja i setup for you an you very kindly gave me 50% of the DF :)
We should work together again sometime - i really wanna see Allen of opstand go down :p ... he's continually probing me and i'm sure eyeing up an attack

Just started a level 26 crystal mine earlier ... 9k of points to be added in a day or so's time :D

How did you manage to fall for that? Surely against the number 1 player (who I assume would have one of the top fleets) that would be a fairly obvious setup.

He had posted an HOF earlier in the day which accounted for all of his ships that were not on the moon I was attacking. Since I knew where he was timezone-wise I timed the attack to hit at about 4am his local time (flying at full speed, so about 1h 30m flight time). I watched his colonies the whole time for signs of activity, and safety probed 15 seconds before the hit.

It gave me small satisfaction to know that he needed to wake up in the middle of the night in order to spring his trap, but then that is why he got to be No.1, because he was prepared to do things like that.

Amen brother.

You cant keep a fleet if you dont fleetsave properly, end of discussion. Memphisto has a good fleet, has had it for a long time and has only just managed to get his first moon this month.

This game does not reward slack play or mistakes and the sharks are always watching for a slip...I know, Im a shark :D

Meh i don't really care about the ships to be perfectly honest - althougth i think the only reason someones not crashed them is cos they'd make a loss quite possibly off my defense - which is nothing big btw
Still i shall help Bill Door out all i can with regard that alliance i mentioned earlier ;)
 
Cheers Mike. Only problem with getting a top 10 hit is that my points have taken a short term battering, I need to spend about 50m to rebuild my losses!

You'll pull away though, I have little time for raiding this time of year so I mainly live off mine production which is about 4.4k points a day.

Done a few little hofs with a mill or two profit this last week or so but that's about it.

I try to stay anonymous as much as possible, only have about 18000 fleet score but only 5k of that is lf's, I use a lot of heavies and try to keep my rank down so I don't get noticed. :D

I've got double your fleetscore in fodder alone :o (27k LF, 9.6k HF)
 
Like I say, I try to stay unoticed, small fleet but I have near 7k in just BS and Cruisers with 500 Bombers and Dest

I have enough firepower for my needs

Could make 1k LF a day just from mine production if I wanted them
 
Stumbled across this and just into joined Universe 3. Do you need a certain amount of points to join an alliance? I tried to join T.N.G. but it says they are not accepting members.

Just getting to know the game at the moment.............
