I hate that umpire.

He was in the wrong and has ruined the match.

It was such a great match, then his stupidity caused the end of the much. Though he should not of got so upset is true.

But still the umpire is at fault.

Yeah, i agree a let should have been played at that point but i think someone with Greg's experience should not have let it get to him as much as to lose his next service game to love.
To top it all Greg's gonna get a hefty fine for his outburst.
Pity that had to happen - i think Greg would have made a great game of it otherwise.

Greg 5-2 up - roddick serving 30-15 - roddick hits a shot which lands in but as it lands someone in the crowd shouted OUT & was echoed by the sounds of it - greg was in process of hitting back so did then roddick half heartedly hit it back over looking confused as greg walked away. Roddick was awarded the point as while he wasn't really playing the point his return was in. Greg then went off on one at the Umpire who wouldn't allow the replay of the point. Then Roddick just won each game after as greg was messed up.

Would like an avi of the outburst if anyone has it :)

It was disgraceful behaviour by the umpire, Greg had every right to be upset and i was cheering him on for swearing and not caring who it was at or who was listening. This just hows how passionate he is about a game. He was clawing his way back into the match after unluckily going down 2 sets. I personally think it would have been a very tight fourth, possibly 5th set otherwise :o

Gotta be one of the alltime greatest Wimbledon outbursts?? + Could have been one of the all-time greatest matches had it gone on. That umpire should be demoted to tea-boy now. Greg should have smacked him :mad: Even Roddick would have been willing to replay point!!

Ah well,just been watching Huntachova getting knocked out 0-6 6-4 12-10 :eek:
Was a bit like watching a car crash tbh,didn't want to,but just 'had' to :) She looked a bit of a basket case tbh,wildly overemotional at times,and way,way too skinny to be attractive (for me anyhoo)

Don't normally make the effort to watch tennis.... but that was a corking game.

I was cheering on Asagoe-san. She did well to come back in that match.

Did anyone see after the match bbc1 showed the rally with complete silence (i mean no commentating) and the shout from the audience was not only clearly audible but pretty damn loud too. I cant believe someone would do that - that person should be banned from getting in if they find out who it was :mad:

imo Greg had every right to go off on one - the umpire was blatantly in the wrong and no matter if it was Roddicks serve 30-15 or whether Greg was 0-40 down he should fight for everyone point - thats the difference between someone completely passionate about their game.

And did you hear McEnroe (sp?) talking about the fine Rusedski would have to pay as well? He was talking 10's of thousands!! I mean wtf?? The umpire should be fined and sacked for making such a huge error - thats what happens in any other type of job doesnt it? Why no different here?
 
Fine is looking like 10k & he has since apologised for his actions. Tbh he shouldn't have gone off on one as it cost him the match but he was justified in getting angry. & yes I hope that the person who shouted is banned for life, so not on what they did :mad:
