The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

I'm hesitant because I keep thinking the AIB versions are soon to pop up for the same price and will perform much better, and I have 2 weeks from today to return it if I want but I just don't know man I just don't know what to do!
Just open it man ;) i have the sapphire and im very happy with it coming from an Xfx 290 DD and the 56 is actually quieter by quite a bit

I've never bought a reference. Ever.

I got tempted with Vega 56 for a moment due to the 2 games, but then realised the games can be bought independently for less.

So still waiting...

Have you seen the AIB card by Asus? If that's anything to go by then you have nothing to worry about and made a good purchase!

No way will AIB cards be he same price as reference. At the very least it will be £50 more.

Install the card, undervolt the core, up the power limit to 50, increase the HBM memory to 900+ and then happy days lol.

I couldn't be anymore happier with my purchase. For a reference card my one is running very cool with really low noise levels!

I don't know about the first part, but I do agree on the second point. I think the AIBs will come at higher price points...

Hopefully not too much, but it's a concern...

Yeah your right, and I'm starting to feel at ease now knowing this, I'm also just getting para with all the bashing vega has been getting which doesn't help, and I was waiting a long time for it while putting up with my cack hd 6870.

I had to make a new account my old one was gone.
I have bin following the overclockers forums for quite some time but im not a active poster more a reader :)

Im doing a lot of Vega testing because its fun and i want to learn more about the cards. I just made a online sheet where i post my data.
Maybe there are people over here that also want to add their data.

The tests are done with Unigine SuperPosition 1080p Extreme and 1440p for now.
I use data from wattman and GPU-Z to get some extra info on actual clockspeeds, voltages and power draw.

I only added a few results so far the rest is still on my pc. I hope to add them this weekend.
I'm currently testing 3 Vega 56 cards and 2 64's. And have tested 2x64 before that.

I hope some of you want to share your results so get a better picture how Vega performs with different voltages.

The review has been taken down, 3d guru was using wrong bios apperently

Unbelievable, In the review they stressed the point that this was a finished product,
ie: what will be released, It's more likely that due to all the info on undervolting and
improved performance that's now floating around the Web one of the so-called
professionals at Asus went running into the office after seeing the review and
reading about how the unvervolting improves thing's elsewhere with a plan to claim
the bio's isn't correct so they can get it back and do what many reference Vega owner's
have been doing so it looks better compared to a stock blower model.

Damage control at it's finest.

At least we might actually get a
decent card out of the box now.

This site has a completely different thermal and noise results though, so something must be up.

How do you like your powercolor rx so far? I got that one too yesterday.

One of the PC's clocks really good! but brand does not matter atm they are all refferenced.
My MSI 64 is also a good card and the PC 64 also clocks very well (similar to the MSI)

But i need more time to test the cards. Only did some quick testing to see wich one was the best. Want to do more runs with all cards and add the best results per 50mv in the sheet.
