The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Nope, I've added it to the phone (both mass memory and the phone memory) and it can't find it using smart search. Weird.

1. copy it to the "mass memory" drive via USB
2. goto your phone and run the "file manager" found in quickoffice by default
3. browse the "mass memory" drive and scroll to the bottom
4. the file u copied should be there.. dbl tap it and install

hope that works for u

I'll try that, thanks.

Edit: Not working either.

Edit 2: Hey, what would you know... the classic off and on again fixed it :p

I've found DOOM the game made for the nokia 5800(should work with the i8910) with full touch controls.
Anyone want the download page for it?

I'll wait till samsung actually releases a useful update. Not really into unsupported gadgets. Especially with all the recent ones getting released full of bugs and never updated. I really learned my lesson after rushing into getting the crappy xperia X1, never buying a sony ericcson again :) nor a win mo phone.

is anyone getting echoing down the line while making a call. im thinking maybe my mike is defective. think ill be calling mobiles.co.uk tommorow if i can get threw

Got the apps working i am using them via settings - application manager - installation files. seem to work fine.

Has anyone found a better deal than what is on the mobiles.co.uk site which is 1200 mins Any Network Anytime + Unlimited Texts + 500MB Data for £30 and £9.99 for the phone? I need the data allowance but def dont need the minutes. Or would it work out better to buy unlocked and use an o2 simplicity sim? Cheers.

I've just bought the same deal, not sure the 500mb is actually included, So I'll wait till i get it and then kick off if its not included, distance selling act + false advertising. ;)

The battery life on this phone is amazing! Been browsing the net, playing games all day at work (lol) and watching a HD movie at the mo (bout half way through and its still going.... Also had a 5 min convo and sent several texts....

It seems to go down to 1 or 2 bars fairly quick then stay there forever lol!

:D
