I had the same problem are you using IE as your web browser?
If so try Google Chrome or one of the others that fixed it for me.
 
Yeah, I always use Chrome, I'm on live support now but they are stumped. :p

EDIT: Woo, I'm in!

So far the games a lot of fun, and has a pretty interesting story, but the Nvidia biasing is horrific, even on medium @ 1080p it runs like absolute anus, stutters quite bad etc. :/

yeh i had the same issue as you guys earlier on with the account not working, i spoke with live support and basically the issue was that because i played the game earlier with a trial, after that ended it de-activated the account, so yeh just get them to re-activate :) this also is the case if you trial the game free and then pay for the game and enter in the cd-key, you will need them to re-activate your account :)

Oh dear :(

What I do is try turning one option at a time down to minimum in order to catch the culprit. There's usually one particular effect or option that slows it right down, in this game it's "tesselation" - slows it down to about 20FPS for me, yet when it's off boom back up to 50, 60+ is possible but I prefer having the settings high.
 
Anyone still playing? I've started this week on Daemon as Illuminati and just got to Blue Mountain. Really enjoying it, although it's getting tougher :)

Have you tried this yourself or know anyone who has done this? I've just finished my 3-day trial and while there wasn't enough to pursuade me to buy the game full price while I wait for GW2, at that price it's very tempting.

I assume I would need to make a 'fake' US Amazon account, and there will be no issues using a US download copy of the game to use with the account I've made already?
 
Yeah, I've bought a few things from Amazon US, never had a problem. I just used a hotel address in California.

I'm pretty certain there's no region locking in TSW, since I got mine from G2Play and it registered as the Russian version :)
 
i was looking into this game but the increased monthly fee has put me off unfortunately.
monthly subs have been £8.99 since i started playing MMO's and it feels wrong to pay more :D
 
it's not worth playing tbh. Levelling is pretty fun, but then you get to the NM grindfest full of total *******... waste of time.
No raids, 150-200 ping (US servers) that ruins pvp... the list goes on.

If you've got to partially star out a word to get round the word filters then you should be fully starring it out.
 
There are still plenty of people around, if you can get it cheap it's well worth a look, very, very different and it would be a shame to miss it before it does inevitably go to the wall :(

Some of the best acting I've ever seen in a game. Makes SWTOR look like a 6 year olds panto.
 
it is a great concept but unfortunately there is just a lack of variation in end game content currently. If you can stomach it though there is the grind to 100%.

The investigation missions are awesome to do as well and some are very challenging, assuming you dont read the guides anyway
 
Just downloading the trial now. One of the main gripes the reviews noted was that at launch a lot of the quests were broken so you didn't know if you missed something or if it was the game. Has this been fixed?
