The SFF Case Gallery And Specs Thread

No pics yet. I'll post some soon.

The case is great, especially for £37! Well finished and surprisingly non fiddly for a mini itx case. It fits nicely in the unit under my tv as well.

Cableing is a bit of a nightmare, but that goes with the form factor. A lot of the reviews complain about the cooling not being great, but I've not had any problems. Having a fully shrouded graphics card probably helps as it takes air in from the side then exhausts out of the back without blowing hot air into the case. The low power CPU probably helps as well, though it is on the stock cooler for now. I've also set it up with the PSU upside down so it's extracting air from the case rather than pulling in fresh air from outside. Not great for the PSU temperature, but good for everything else.

All running now! Woo!

Shuttle SZ77R5
i7 3770K
32GB Patriot Extreme Masters Ram
120GB Corsair SSD
1TB 64MB 7200 Seagate HDD
AMD 7970

All running at stock apart from the 7970 which is at 1050/1500. And damn, what a tight fit! I am *really* hoping the 8000 series stay's the same size seeing as its based on the same architecture, I will be gutted if one doesn't fit.

I am looking at trying to overclock the 3770k but the stock HSF doesn't seem up to the task to me, with no overclocking its reaching 80c under full load on Intel torture test.

The Smart fan system doesn't seem to be kicking in either? Im on the latest Bios which supposedly fixes this but doesn't seem to have done. The fan does not increase in speed at all and even when you try to adjust it under the Bios it seems to make no difference

Other than that, love it! Such a cool little box. I think I might have to source the Astek cooler off the bay though.

I have been really impressed with it:) Its a great system. I do think a 680 would have been better as the 7970 gets a bit hot, though even running at 1050/1500 it never exceeds 80c so its not too bad.

I have also got an Astek cooling solution on route from the US, as the stock HSF isn't quite up to the task IMO and is fairly loud under full load.

Was my first Shuttle but wont be my last now, love it.

So much for a 3 yr upgrade, it seems to be 6 months between changing of cases right now... Here's my build revised again :)

This is what you can pack into a small package (not those massive BitFenix Prodigy's):

Intel Core i7 2600K
Thermalright AXP-140 with LP Scythe fan
Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi
ATI Sapphire HD7850
Corsair HX620
2x 4GB Kingston HyperX
1x 240GB Corsair Force GT SSD
2x 3.5" HDD
1x 5.25" Optical DVDRW

All installed while at the office before a polish and heading home

No PSU installed to show the AXP-140 and low profile Scythe below

All installed with the side off to see in

Impatience kicked in the day the case arrived and I built computer without the AXP-140. This BeQuiet Tower fitted in with no issues , just a PSU hanging out the back :)

... This is what SFF gaming is about :D (no offence intended for those with Prodigy's, just too big for me... I guess about 1.5x the size before then handles are added?)
