The 'Show Your Creative Side' thread

I only listened to 7 or 8 of the 28 songs but really enjoyed those! I'll finish the others later. I disagree strongly with Lt-Red on the 2Jan song - it works perfectly as it is. Your Radiodead song has been added to my playlist.

Anyway, here's my contribution.

My band, SugarCandy Mountain, re-recording the songs from our last ever gig 23 years agohttps://sugarcandy.bandcamp.com/

Thanks for your feedback [FNG]Magnolia I'm glad you were able to enjoy some of my music!

I have been able to now listen to your tracks and I'm glad I did; they're all nicely mixed, well connected and great to listen to as well. Somewhere I'd like to be at some point!

I would really like to help you out with this one even if its just pointing you in the right direction to get the right sounds in the track. Please do get in touch.

I didn't mean to sound quite so harsh reading it back - just think it could be so much more! Sorry Gamefreak :o

Thanks Lt_Red, it's absolutely fine - all feedback is good feedback!

I've still got a ways to go still with my 'musical identity' I'll be in touch later tonight or early in the week, I was busy on the weekend with work unfortunately!

I'm very impressed with what I've seen on this thread, great cosplay outfit (which is probably fit for Larping as well, something you could look at doing on the side if you don't already), solid product and design work (great desk ThereIsOnlyOne) and great art work Greboth (I can't draw very well, surprised I did as well as I did in GCSE Art) to name but a couple out of so much talent.

I spotted this thread the other week - there is some amazing skill on show here !

since I seem to spend most of my free time doing sport - thought I'd re-use a bit of any slight artistic elements in my brain - so this is my effort I came up with over the weekend using some Software VST instruments I'd bought over Christmas.

"Galloping" - chilled out uplifting track - Galloping flying horses sort of - lol

Reminds me a bit of Vangelis' signature style - you have no idea the mental gymnastics I had to do to identify what it was reminding me of.

Good memory recall - it will be the synth in the Chorus it is a emulation by "Luftrum" in the software synth Omnisphere - of one of the famous Yamaha CS-80 presets Vangelis used lots :) I think he did very well - as only uses the Synth part of Omnisphere it is not a "sampled" instrument. I love the wrap around sound the emulated synth gives

Here is my latest film trailer rescore

My Soundcloud -

Hope you enjoy the music!

Since graduation from University (degree in music) I have had some moderate success with library music, but it is tricky finding the time to compose and work full time etc.

In the last few years I am trying to get a lot more into it again!

A couple more trailer rescores -

Hoping to start this project back up again soon now the weather's getting better. It's been on the back burner for some time. The building is about 80% complete.

A space simulation seat for VR (yes, it's just a chair ...)

The upholstery was quite a challenge.

Random digital display.

A HOTAS will be mounted on the side pods and a base made to raise it off the floor a little.

As usual awesome work dude! :)

Off topic but do you have a page i could visit or could i drop you an email through here? I'd like to build my wife a makeup/dressing table and need an idea of what sort of tools i should be looking at if i could pick your brains. :)

Finished this today. I can't take full credit as I had to get a joiner to do the cutting and installation of the main pieces, but the design and implementation was my brain child. He sorted the bare bones for me from my design and I went from there.

Was fun seeing the wall come down. It used to be a downstairs toilet. Been done in such a way that if I ever need to re-instate it, it can be easily done.

Will house a Fiji Iguana.
