The Sims 4

I enjoyed The Sims 3 but there were far too many expansion packs adding stuff that should have been in the game from day 1. Fair enough bringing an expansion pack out such as Supernatural, but you shouldn't have to pay to have pets in the game. :(

Especially when EA claimed they weren't going to make expansions for Sims 3

As above, all the expansions and dlc put me off buying it. I'm a sucker for having to have all the content for games I want to play as I feel I'm missing out otherwise. To have all the content for Sims 3 would probably cost over £100 and use around 60-70gb of space.

Funny how they have to mention from the outset the game isn't always online. No other publisher would do that in their very first announcement of a game.

Not too excited considering I have rare phases of wanting to play The Sims. Sims 2 with a bunch of the 'real' expansion packs I got for 50p each from a bootsale is enough for me:p

Explains why they have hardly done anything to Sim City.

They just abandoned ship with that game and left it to sink.

I'm guessing you go where the money is, Sims 4 with 20 DLC's, what's happened to gaming.

lol funny stuff, I purchased the Sims 1 and the expansions.

Realised wtf am I doing, bought 2 and 3, got a hold of the expansions another way. Not giving them *******s more money, ton of features that the base game should have, should not be expansion pack content.

I'll admit I'm something of a Sims fan, so I'm interested to see where they go with this. I loved the open spaces of Sims 3, but hated the "rabbit holes" when you went to a restaurant. I much prefered Sims 2 where you could actually take a date to a restaurant, and talk to each other, cuddle up or play footsie under the table. Hopefully those kind of features will return while maintaining the freedom that 3 brought to the game.

I think it's allot more than that, I added it all to my steam basket not long ago and if iremember right it was a couple of hundred quid.

This may just be the one I don't bother with. I adored the original, was pretty happy with the second, but was very disappointed with the 3rd, which had a bad vibe and a rotten direction about it from day one.

Sims 4... One can only imagine how bare bones it will feel.

Huge Sims fan.

Three was 'ite. Didn't like it half as much as the second or first, I don't hold very high hopes due though, EA understand they can make a lot of money from this based on what they did with the second.
