The Social Gathering / Gaming Thread [A place to organize meet-ups]

Doesn't look like my mate is going to be able to join us much in the future with his new job. He does say atlantis hard is a good course though. Looking forward to it :) hoping for bioluminescence like Rav suggested. It's a gorgeous level.

Great game guys, despite the tracking glitches which stopped me winning the game
:D

I was getting the same glitches in the home environment after the game, and resetting the headset fixed it, so if it happens next time I'll just disconnect and reset and come back in.

Great game last night Guys. Really enjoyed it. Some good laughs :)

The course was "meh" in the end. It's extremely nice to look at it, but, it's also very one dimensional, if you know what I mean. To me it seems like the developers are going more for style over substance. As the courses get nicer to look at, the "fun" ways of completing holes are been reduced. In earlier courses, in a lot of the holes there were always one or more tempting ways of getting close to the flag or even a hole in one. I can only remember two holes with "trick" shots that might have worked out better than going the normal route. There were even a couple of holes were going the harder route, didn't give you any real advantage.

The half loop over was a nice touch and as raggs iirc said would be nice to see other implementations, and the multiple holes in sand then dropping caused some amusement.
Still finding my way round it but very much enjoying :)

Felt too similar to the normal map. We were coming out with all sorts of crazy ideas about what the hard map would be. Tame in comparision to some of the others. Mind you, I didn't exactly do great after a bad start.

There were only a couple of holes on hard mode that made us think about the best way to do them. Not a terrible course, but not the best.
The one up the statue, with the belly button as an option, was an interesting one. But there was a really long one with lots of slopes (not the one along the aqueduct) that was begging for a few more ways to play it.
