Decent review on the Tamron from mainly a stills perspective if anyone is interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJnI5vWqGk8
Hadn’t had time to research whether they were or weren’t. Was just saying I was waiting for them to be out and hoped they were. Not in a hurry yet, not Milky Way season till August.
Looks pretty damn good!Decent review on the Tamron from mainly a stills perspective if anyone is interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJnI5vWqGk8
Can you share any of your past photos? I've been meaning to get more serious about it and, aside from an alcohol impaired attempt with a 50 1.4 in the Canary Islands last year, haven't really got started yet.
I’d love to photograph the Milky Way....in theory I could give it a go with my gear but soooooooo much light pollution around it makes it very difficult.
Any of these near you Raymond?

With a bit of cropping to frame it tighter and take away excess background around the model that would be a very nice image. Love the contrast of her dress.ForestShootEpping-431.jpg by Jon Richy, on Flickr take on a batis 1.8
This was my first time out trying to capture the milky way with an olympus omd em5 markii and 12-40 pro. ISO 6400 and 15secs. After that I was hooked. Neither the camera or lens is the best choice for astro work.
Cool, I'll share my drunken effort when I get back home tonight.
There are some amazing guides on YouTube of how much you can capture with the right processing and the right location with pretty basic gear. Of course I'm immediately hoping for a masterpiece with slightly better gear!
I emailed or online chatted with LCE and asked them for their best price and gave it to me for £525 plus the cashback.I'm looking to get the 85 f1.8 - has anyone found it cheaper than this in a legit uk retailer that the cashback offer would work on?

Are you a professional or serious amateur?Another orange box arrived today containing a small and very expensive price of glass the 1.4 TC. Cost me the same as the Sony 85mm f1.8 which is stupid to be honest
